Essential Stoner Rap Albums

I've smoked for like six years now and it's worked out for me pretty well. Haven't been listening to hip-hop all that long but I'm told I have a really good taste in smoke hip-hop. Ten essential 'stoner rap' albums. Also, if you haven't already play Hemp Tycoon. Shit rules.
1Dr. Dre
The Chronic

Just look at the credentials: an album cover that's a play off of the Zig-Zag logo and a title directly referencing a well known slang term for cannabis, you know this is the penultimate smoke album from the get-go. Dre's slow drawl and funky production style sound good when you're high and the simple lyrics are easy to follow.
2Afroman
The Good Times

Everybody has heard Afroman's anthem "Because I Got High", it's his opus and it's fairly well-known, but this album is so much deeper than that. It's funny as hell (especially when you're blazed) and every track is worth its spot. Quite a fun listen.
3Curren$y
Pilot Talk

After he got booted off of Cash Money, Curren$y began steadily climbing into pot raps. Although he's a relative new comer, Spitta is pretty damn good at what he does. If you're a stoner, then it's just so easy to relate to him. Ski Beatz is a masterful producer.
4 Devin the Dude
Just Tryin' Ta Live

The fucking master. This man needs no introduction and the album needs no description. Get it.
5 Digable Planets
Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space)

These guys are so chill lyrically (they're just a bunch of hippies who love pot) and their simplistic jazzy beats are so calming.
6KiD CuDi
Man on the Moon: The End of Day

He loves pot and he's not afraid to put his insecurities on display. The beats are just so relaxed and groovy too.
7Dr. Octagon
Dr. Octagonecologyst

No matter how many times you listen to it, it will make you say, "Woah. What the fuck?"
8MF DOOM
MM.. Food

Doom beats? Raps about food? Sign me the fuck up.
9Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
E 1999 Eternal

The members of Bone Thugs are (read: were) such great rappers, the production is fucking amazing and the lyrics are pretty great too.
10Das Racist
Shut Up, Dude

I'm at the Pizza Hut, I'm at the Taco Bell, I'm at the combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
