05.27.11 | In other news, I finally have a band. Rehearsals commence this week, writing too. Judging by what everyone in the band is into, we could end up anything from metal to hardcore to djent to jazz to hip-hop. Maybe even pop-rock. | SkateFootballMusic
05.27.11 | You should include some Dead Letter Circus influence in your band. | Spec
05.27.11 | I never studied and now I work at Safeway, ya dig? | spillingmercury
05.27.11 | Just combine all of them and add background fuzziness and everyone will think you're a genius.
But me too. I'm avoiding Chemistry and Japanese via the Jesus and Mary Chain and it's amazing. | Hawks
05.27.11 | 2 is so good. | Butkuiss
05.27.11 | @SkateFootballMusic-Dead Letter Circus are really big in Aus; every local band that isn't a pop-punk or metalcore band around where I live have huge nods to them in their sound, so I doubt we'll be any different, especially with our bassist and I loving them so much.
@Spec-my god, that's my dream job. I got knocked back from six different maccas, a woolies, a big w and a target recently. foreveralone.jpg
@Stokes. Myself? I don't know. I don't think I'd ever pigeonhole something and say "WRITE ONLY THIS", but I'm majorly influenced by a lot of different genres, including post-metal, djent, hardcore, jazz, et cetera. I would like to try the whole djent thing a bit though, especially seeing as I'm vocalist/bassist for this band.
@Spillingmercury-I'm avoiding physics so much. Exam in three days, and my teacher is complete shite. So I'm learning a semester of work in a weekend. Pray for me. I think I'm just going to drop physics anyway though. | spillingmercury
05.28.11 | Oh that's effed up. We got some shit teachers in our science department too, I guess everybody does. But if you have a review book/text book and the internet, it can do wonders. Or a friend who's good at physics. I find it's easier to learn and memorize things by mildly arguing with people about answers and what-not. Good luck though. | Idnuf
05.28.11 | The story of Sputnik | spillingmercury
05.28.11 | It's a true and mildly interesting one at that. | Butkuiss
05.28.11 | Ya, pretty much. We've pretty much got the whole class for a study session tomorrow, so that's good. There are a few borderline math-geniuses around, so I should get some luck there. But thanks for the well wishes. :L |
