| Summer In Wolftown
Yeah, 'cause summer and stuff. Weather's gonna be shitty for another week and then lowest temperatures will be like 25 degrees of C. Shit's gonna be real. rList is stuff I'll listen to and stuff I'll do. | | 1 | | Clutch Blast Tyrant
Gonna be in rome for a week in ~2 weeks and some more, it's with my history course but it's still probably gonna be chill as fuck and we usually have something like 5-10h (if not more) a day where we can do what we want. Might go on a pizza & pasta binge. | | 2 | | Shpongle Tales Of The Inexpressible
Gonna be chilling out in some parks here, might smoke one and listen to psychedelic shit until sundown. Also, since Shpongle are coming to Europe in summer they might also be passing through and if I get a chance to see their new show I will. | | 3 | | Juno Reactor Shango
see above. | | 4 | | The Kings Of Frog Island The Kings Of Frog Island
More psychedelic stuff, might go around visiting some people - meet some old bands I haven't seen in quite some time, maybe meetup with some of those nuts from Berlin or something like that.
Also, why does Sputnik not have this album? | | 5 | | Torche Harmonicraft
Gonna work a little bit here and there to get some extra money 'cause why not. Getting 12 euros per hour for packaging some shit. | | 6 | | Mammal The Majority
Probably gonna have a barbecue with some pals and get shitfaced, depending on when these fuckwads are out of country. | | 7 | | Twelve Foot Ninja Smoke Bomb!
Might increase my workouts. With my back being fucked up and being sick for a week after that shit hasn't been too good for doing stuff with my kettlebell or exercising in general | | 8 | | Jazzsteppa Jazzsteppa
Gonna get back at my MA training, will probably get an old pal for some sparring. | | 9 | | Camel Mirage
.. also gonna get back at some WMA (sword-fighting) 'cause it's fun, gonna have to drive an hour to get there but that's no problem for staying there some days for training and more barbecue and stuff. | | 10 | | Kyuss Welcome To Sky Valley
Catch up on some stuff, like reading certain books. (Gotta get at Wittgenstein and some other philosophical/science works again). Also wanna go get some stuff about mythology, preferably celtic - if anybody has some recs, shoot. | | 11 | | Streetlight Manifesto Everything Goes Numb
Practice more musically, 'cause my schedule and my neighbors prohibit me from doing so now. | | 12 | | Karl Sanders Saurian Meditation
Have some more jam sessions. | | 13 | | Wild Marmelade Core Duo
Maybe gonna go for a hike in the forest or the hills here, depending on the weather and the circumstances. | | 14 | | Tomahawk Anonymous
Catch up with some music and re-collect some of the stuff I lost during my HDD failure. | | 15 | | Billy Woods History Will Absolve Me
Maybe go to the Irish Pub again and say hello to some of the patrons and people I know. | | 16 | | Causa Sui Summer Sessions Vol. 2
Party Hard. 'Cause when it's time to party we will PARTY HARD. And I still have mead. | | 17 | | Causa Sui Summer Sessions Vol. 3
While we're already talking about smoking one I might get my hookah back & up or generally just smoke some hookah with pals in the park and even more psychedelic jams. | | 18 | | Samsara Blues Experiment Revelation & Mystery
yeah | | 19 | | My Brother The Wind I Wash My Soul In The Stream Of Infinity
This is some pretty cool psychedelic stuff from Sweden, solely jams. | | 20 | | Converge You Fail Me
Oh yeah, probably gonna go to a Converge show in Karlsruhe on the 11th of August with some pals. Cause it's cheap and fun and a nice end to the holidays. | |

05.30.12 | Fuck you, album art. | johnnyblaze
05.30.12 | no girls? i like german girls, theyre usually really fit. | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | Not really sure what exactly you mean. | johnnyblaze
05.30.12 | list is stuff you'll do this summer... you didnt mention girls.
doing girls should be a part of every young man's summer plans. | johnnyblaze
05.30.12 | i've also heard that there's parks in germany where people can go chill and smoke and police wont bother them. is this true? | MetallicOpeth
05.30.12 | its implied wolf does girls come on now does that chest hair not give it away? | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | Yeah, Idk man, not feeling like stating obvious stuff.
Lol, yeah. I mean it depends but usually you can hang out in some of these parks, get your hookah out or roll a blunt or something and nobody will give a fuck. Shitloads of people where I live smoke weed or do even more, in those parks we usually hang out nobody cares about weed or stuff like that. You just gotta keep away from the REAL drug addict riff-raff. Crazy alcoholics and shit, they won't leave you alone if they start with their bullshit. | Tyrael
05.30.12 | Jealous for 20 man
I still might go to that hardcore fest in august tho | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | And the price for today goes to MO. @Tyr: Well, there's some good stuff comin' and if you have the money - why not? | johnnyblaze
05.30.12 | lol MO... truth.
sweet man, germany sounds pretty rad. i'm trying to choose between doing my grad studies in cologne or tilburg | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | Yeah, it partly is. Booze is also not really a big deal here.
Well, if you wanna go see a lot of club scenes and stuff I'd say Cologne, the dialect they speak there sounds like the most hillbilly backwoods gibberish but it's in the "Ruhrpott" where a lot is going on. You'd probably have to ask someone else here about Tilburg (pretty sure we have someone from the Netherlands as well, I believe it was Xeno but I'm not sure) | MetallicOpeth
05.30.12 | If I could live anywhere in the world Germany would be in my top 3 choices. I went back packing through europe with friends and my gf and Germany is just so chill. when I went with my friends I celebrated my bday in Munchen and had something like 11 steins through the day, shit was bomb. | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | Dude, you should see Rhineland-Palatinate, more specifically Palatinate. Not a lot of people here but there's wine festivals all year long, we have a rich wine culture, usually some really chill people and the landscape is pretty gorgeous. But yeah, that also sounds pretty cool. We also have a really great diversity of scenes and people even on rather "small" areas. (Rhineland-Palatinate has about 4million inhabitants) But yeah, that sounds pretty cool. Although stuff in München is expensive. | StrangerofSorts
05.30.12 | Germany's pretty sweet from what I can remember of it. I was 16 at the time so alcohol kind of got the best of me.
My German's still shit though. | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | Haha, I figure.
Yeah, usually people will be able to speak at least a little English so that's no biggie. And there are even crazy people like me that basically always search for excuses to speak English. | omnipanzer
05.30.12 | Wolftown, that's southwest of Hamburg right? | StrangerofSorts
05.30.12 | Yeh I noticed that. Nearly everyone I talked to spoke English better than I did and even if I was speaking German a lot of people would switch it over to English. Probably because I was struggling. | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | Oh you.. omni.
Wait, is English not your native tongue, Stranger? Haha, I didn't think the ones you met were that good. Some people here are really awful at English, at least their pronounciation is. Their vocabulary is actually not even that bad. For me, English just feels way more "natural". Or it "flows better".
Also, were you here for an exchange or holiday? | omnipanzer
05.30.12 | Aw Shucks
*kicks pebble | StrangerofSorts
05.30.12 | Nah, it's my native tongue. Some of them were crazy good though - though they were mostly from a gymnasium so perhaps that explains it.
I was there for an exchange. Didn't really get on too well with the bloke I was staying with (he was a little odd. Bavarian, too, so his accent confused me), but the girls were nice. It was a really good time in all, and I'd seriously consider moving if I wasn't so bloody useless at languages. Where abouts in Germany do you live?
Also have fun in Rome - it's impossible to not be chill as fuck there. | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | Haha, yeah. Sometimes we've got quite some language talents although I'm surprised the Bavarians were actually good at it, haha. Their pronounciation is sometimes reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally weird. Well, not necessarily. I'm on the hardest Gymnasium in the federal state and even we have our black light bulbs if y'know what I mean.
Meh, that sucks. But the other stuff does sound nice, haha. Some people really dig the whole "foreign" shtick although I'd be careful since we like to trick Americans and alike into drinking stuff no native here would ever drink even though they sell that shit. I live in Southern Palatinate in Rhineland-Palatinate, Southwest - 40km from the French border. We have shitloads of hills, forest and wine.
Yeah, they already told us about the good pizza and the good ice, haha. Our history prof. wants to take us to 12 churches though, not really my thing. I'll probably sleep in there, heh. | StrangerofSorts
05.30.12 | Well I don't know where it is, but there's a bar I found in Rome that has two disused helicopters that you can sit and drink in tucked away at the back. It was a bit of a find.
They tried the drink thing, but tbh every English teenager knows their way around drink well enough to know when something isn't quite right. A mate of mine wasn't so lucky, but in the end it was still pretty hilarious. I was perched up in Bielefeld (the Bavarian guy had moved up their a couple of months before or something), which is slightly more urban. If I end up taking a year off after uni I'll definitely scout around the more rural areas: I think Germany's the kind of place that I'll be able to appreciate a lot more if I have the opportunity of going absolutely mental.
| Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | That actually sounds pretty cool, would be ace if we'd find that one.
Ah, you're British then. Well, I can figure that it's harder to trick Brits into that, but it seems quite easy with the Americans and Eastern Europeans, although these Eastern Europeans will drink anything with alcohol. Ah, Bielefeld doesn't sound all too bad. Haha, yeah - we've got some nice places but you better come with a little money handy if you want to hang around here for a while. Or with good qualifications, but since you're on uni I don't think that'd be too much of a problem here. I'd defintely recommend you to check out some parts of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate. Palatinate has the biggest forest in Germany going reaching from here to the Vosges and with them one of the biggest in Europe. | StrangerofSorts
05.30.12 | Sounds pretty amazing, much appreciated.
Money might be an issue, but I should have qualifications coming out of my ears by then. Whether the economy will let me do anything with them by that stage, I don't know. | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | No problem, dude.
Well, if you're qualificated and if you show the will to work you'll definitely get somewhere here. This isn't the U.S. or something similar, if you have qualifications and you can show you're good at what you do and the market isn't overflowing with your area you can definitely get somewhere with that here. And we still lack academics/qualified employees. (despite the huge influx of scholars)
Also, you have the advantage of bringing knowledge from another country with you which can be quite helpful sometimes. Just like they like people that are REALLY good at languages/talking. | Wolfhorde
05.30.12 | Well, I'm good with that. |
