Not Just Any Guitar Solo..........

The ten best albums ever, PERIOD.
1King Crimson
In the Court of the Crimson King

The best album. Ever made. Period. The best album. Ever made. Period. The best album. Ever made. Period. The best album. Ever made. Period. The best album. Ever made. Period. The best album. 2Between the Buried and Me
Colors

Accordions. Square-Dancing. Walls that are white. Ants that are in the sky. Accordions. Piano. Screaming. Growling. Ballads. Quirky breakdowns. Sweeping. Epic proportions. Colors. Accordions. Accordions. Build-ups. Climaxes. Colors. Colors. Colors.
3 Frightened Rabbit
The Midnight Organ Flight

Every melody. Every harmony. Every chord progression. Every heart-bending lyric. Everything here is perfect. The arrangements are beautiful, Scott's gorgeous vocals drip magic on each track, the lyrical content is warm and inviting (sometimes), and the songwriting is simply top notch
4Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To

No, Yndi Hala, Sigur Ros and Mono are NOT better than Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and no post-rock band will ever put out such a divinely perfect album as this. Fucking hell, I really fucking jack off all over this album, but sometimes masterpieces need to be jizzed on. Love this stuff. A massive 80 minute journey into unrivaled beauty.
5King Crimson
Red

This album is why I consider Robert Fripp to be the messiah.
6Metallica
...And Justice For All

When one looks as Metallica's discography critically, "RTL" and "MOP" are the two most celebrated of the bunch. So why is "Justice" my favorite? Most say that this is near the same level as the two albums prior to it, but because of being a tad dry, lacking in bass, and the songs being longer, evidently is doesn't quite match up. Bullshit!
7Nick Drake
Pink Moon

I have just begun my journey into folk and classic singer-songwriter works. So far, Nick Drake is the best. The best folk artist I've ever heard. His voice is like butter, his guitar tone like even more butter, and his catchy melodies like popcorn butter.
8Opeth
Blackwater Park

I don't care what you say. This is the best record of the decade hands down. No question. Come on, it's OPETH! Anyway, on a less condescending note, whenever I ponder what 'perfection' really is, I turn to "Blackwater Park". Opeth's magnum opus, and the best metal record of the decade, lacks any bad moment or slip up.
9Protest the Hero
Fortress

I fucking love complex guitar harmonies, I fucking love sweeping, I fucking love tapping, I fucking love when all the catchy aspects of post-hardcore are blended with mathcore, and I fucking love Protest the Hero. Every lead on this album is some type of interesting guitar sweep or epic scale pattern.
10Circle Takes the Square
As the Roots Undo

As the Roots Undo" is the most artistic and beautifully executed emo album ever musically, but what about the lyrics? The deep symbolism that lies within the bounds of this album is astounding. Look it up.The album is slick, engaging, long, drawn out, diverse, well-mixed (for an emo album) and captivating. "As the Roots Undo" is the best screamo album of all time.
