Top Pre Sputnik Survivors

Basically the bands/albums Sputnik hasn't ruined by showing me much better music.
1Fightstar
Grand Unification

they jsut churn out awesome song after awesome song that's just so easy to listen to and never seem to get old. hope they make a new album this year.
2Deftones
White Pony

yeah this was gonna be fine here
3Cold
Year of the Spider

YotS and 13 Ways are some of the best post grunge you're gonna get. gone a bit downward with the more recent stuff but these 2 albums will always rule
4Machine Head
Through The Ashes of Empires

Sputnik appears to be very uncertain about these dudes but i still really like them and they certainly put on a great live show. They have their lesser albums but the majority i enjoy a great deal.
5Refused
The Shape of Punk to Come

New Noise is still one of my all time faves. whole album is amazing
6Finch
Say Hello To Sunshine

Sputnik actually gave these guys a rebirth. i'd fallen out of love with WitB and didn't really give this one a proper chance but when I did found out how great the band was again.
7Stone Sour
Stone Sour

Last 2 albums have been disappointments and there's no sign of the band changing back to the old style but this is such a good and underappreciated album. Very dark and quite original, it still stands to this despite the best efforts of the band themselevs to change that.
