SCREAM!
10.06.11 | Opeth no contest |
beefshoes
10.06.11 | Every single band has horrible stage presence live...seriously.
That being said, go see BTBAM, AAL, and TesseracT.

10.06.11 | If you mean by standing completely still for 90 minutes, then yes.
Mikael's jokes in between songs are pretty entertaining. |
Hyperion1001
10.06.11 | All of them suck.
That being said go see opeth. |
ShinXetsu
10.06.11 | Why not go to both, tickets are no more than $20 for either if I recall correctly. |
Dryden
10.06.11 | dont go to any |
AngelofDeath
10.06.11 | Stay at home and jack off. |
bigguytoo9
10.06.11 | Katatonia is freaking amazing live, Opeth are also great (despite this current setlist)
BTBAM is quite the show too, Animal As Leaders would be a total treat.
Id prob say Katatonia/Opeth would be the better show but who am I kidding. It might not be. |
beefshoes
10.06.11 | TesseracT and AAL>Katatonia
|
Hyperion1001
10.06.11 | everything ever > tesseract and btbam |
SowingSeason
10.06.11 | normally i'd say opeth but their new album sucks and they'll prob be playing a lot of that so maybe go with btbam |
Destructerator
10.06.11 | BTBAM don't really talk much and aren't very exciting live. They play well, but I would definitely go see Opeth, simply because Akerfeldt is at home on the stage. There are countless Youtube videos of him doing funny stuff. |
InAbsentia
10.06.11 | Opeth. Duh... |
chaseee
10.06.11 | Stay at home and jack off. [2]
or btbam |
OneMoreRoland
10.06.11 | Opeth is good/hilarious live. Which means worth the money. I haven't seen btbam yet. So.... Id choose btbam |

Relinquished
10.06.11 | since opeth are like in the last stages of existing as a band, it's better to see them now before it's too late. plus their setlist isn't too bad now. |
twlichty
10.06.11 | I've seen BTBAM and i had a great time, it was a really intense show.
That being said, go to Opeth |
gotsthedewsdood
10.06.11 | btbam is pretty good live. |
whywontyoudie
10.06.11 | BTBAM are fun live when the crowd gets into it. But I'd say go see Opeth and pray for older songs. |
sifFlammable
10.06.11 | i heard opeth's setlist is all clean |
tvol
10.06.11 | both options sound equally terrible. stay at home and listen to something good instead. |
YetAnotherBrick
10.06.11 | anyone who says BTBAM suck live is most likely only saying that because they don't like them as a band. BTBAM fucking rules live. |
deathofasalesman
10.06.11 | ^ true dat. |
Destructerator
10.06.11 | BTBAM don't really have a big stage presence like Opeth do, but I will say that the sheer atmosphere of being in a room with the band who wrote the songs and a crowd of rabid fans going crazy at the silly breaks in the songs or singing along to White Walls is definitely worth it. And they will always play White Walls.
My setlist was The Parallax, Sun of Nothing, Ants of the Sky, Fossil Genera, White Walls |
Ire
10.06.11 | i saw btbam and they were boring as shit |
Trebor17
10.06.11 | I don't like either so Opeth |
taxidermist
10.06.11 | All depends on how you feel about the new Opeth album. They're gonna play a lot of that, so if you don't like it, go with BtBAM. |
Trebor17
10.06.11 | Animals As Leaders |
taxidermist
10.06.11 | They also rule. Tesseract I didn't really dig when I saw live. |
andcas
10.06.11 | "btbam is awful live" so awful they sound like the album. |
Ire
10.06.11 | lol no they dont |
Trebor17
10.06.11 | Why do Animals As Leaders tour with shitty deathcore bands? |
andcas
10.06.11 | live album is flawless along with every time i've seen them. |
Inveigh
10.06.11 | well idk one band is pretty great and the other is one of the worst things I can think of music or otherwise so it seems like an easy choice |
YetAnotherBrick
10.06.11 | why did Trebor just refer to BTBAM and Tesseract as deathcore? |
salival13
10.07.11 | Saw Opeth last night and it's probably not what you or I expected. I still enjoyed the show except for the jackasses next to me violently moshing during soft songs wtf? Here's the setlist. Also Katatonia was really good if you're into them.
The Devil's Orchard
and played Pyre
Folklore (their encore song)
Slither
Patterns in the Ivy 2
The Throat of Winter
Face of Melinda
Closure
A Fair Judgment
Hex Omega
Porcelain Heart
part of Harvest
|
engleprunt
10.08.11 | Opeth. But convince Animals to open for them instead of Katatonia. Fuck Buried and Tesseract. |
ZombicidalMan
10.08.11 | BTBAM really just stood around and played music. Granted, a band can't exactly rock the fuck out when it's sweeping to Ants Of The Sky, but... pretty boring, even though it was a really good show.
Go to Opeth maybe? Though Animals As Leaders slays IMO. Tough decision to be honest. |
Ovrot
10.08.11 | neither
go watch primus |
Lambda
10.10.11 | I'm seeing both haha (Opeth on the 30th, BTBAM on Dec. 7th) Anyway, have you decided? |
toxicgarbageisland1
10.14.11 | Yeah, Im seeing Opeth!! I actually might be seeing BTBAM as well but it depends haha |
