| 10 unpopular albums I consider my favourite ones
This list I made it because I have a lot of favourite albums that they have been considered either the worst or not being on par of what the band has done. THE LIST HAS NO SPECIFIC ORDER | 1 | | Genesis Trespass
Yes, It's the official debut of the band, and yes it can't fight with the following albums that came but damn!, The Knife ,Looking for someone and vision of angels are masterpieces! | 2 | | Pantera Far Beyond Driven
Not the cup of tea of most Pantera's hardcore fans, even most of them agrees that Southern trendkill is even better than this. I beg to differ with them, | 3 | | Pearl Jam Binaural
Sure, mosf of the fans will agree that PJ started to decay since the release of "No code", but again I beg to differ, Besides it contains one of my favourite PJ songs of all time: Sleight of hand | 4 | | Green Day Nimrod
Against the popular belief that green day started to betray their fanbase by releasing a more "alternative sound", yet it was the first Green Day album I bought, even if a fan tells me that Insomniac or even kerplunk are better albums | 5 | | Metallica Load
Yes metallica abandoned their thrash sound into a more alternative one, and there's nothing wrong with that, besides, three of metallica masterpieces are in this album: Bleeding me, the outlaw torn and the last one in which I'm not sure if most of the people agrees with, the house Jack Built. | 6 | | Thirty Seconds to Mars 30 Seconds to Mars
Once again I put this album because it was not only ignored, but even the band forgot of its existence, SHAME ON YOU JARED | 7 | | Deftones Deftones
If you take a look in the rating page of deftones discography, the self titled is one of the weakest in ratings in comparison to around the fur and diamond eyes. The band grew up for sure, and the band was in their "drug abuse" period, yet this is by far my favourite album by them. Needles and pins and Deathblow are my Achilles tendon. | 8 | | Soda Stereo Dynamo
This one is from my country. In reviews this was their worst release since their debut album, but OH BOY, the album is pure magic, Gustavo Cerati knew how to upgrade their sound into a more 90's approach. | 9 | | Duran Duran Big Thing
Although this album is considered their first failure in duran duran's career, I have to strongy disagree, How can you hate an album with songs like "do you believe in shame?" and "Too late Marlene"? | 10 | | Red Hot Chili Peppers One Hot Minute
There's no Frusciante in this album yet it makes justice, Of course Dave Navarro is not a guitar God, but it doesn't mean the direction the album took was bad. Coffee shop, Shallow be thy game and warped FTW! | |

11.15.16 | 10 is a genuine top 3 peppers | Lord(e)Po)))ts
11.15.16 | ew | AlexKzillion
11.15.16 | Love 5 | tacos n stuff
11.15.16 | 10 def gets too much hate | Kalopsia
11.15.16 | i like 5, but they could've trimmed the fat with 4-5 songs and it'd have been a lot stronger album | rodrigo90
11.15.16 | VaxXi: I didn't do it from the best to worst | Joeman82
11.15.16 | 4 has some great songs i.e. Reject, and some trash ones i.e. Walking Alone
Honestly don't get the hate for 10, Shallow be thy Game is a top 10 RHCP song | sumyunguy
11.15.16 | 7 is easily top 3 'tones material. Crazy underrated. I still don't understand why it's considered weak. It's on par with their best material. Battle Axe is an all time great. | dbizzles
11.15.16 | I agree with 7 and 10. | VaxXi
11.15.16 | I wasn't saying 10 is 3 I was saying 10 is a top 3 best for the RHCP. | rodrigo90
11.15.16 | Ah ok.... | Frippertronics
11.15.16 | dunno how 1 is unpopular considering it has a 3.7 | Typhoon24
11.15.16 | i could never get into 7 so i feel ya | Drifter
11.15.16 | 4 is actually pretty respected on here. Kerplunk is certainly better, but 39/Smooth is flawless and imo the best rock album ever | MrSirLordGentleman
11.15.16 | 1, 6 and 8 rule hard | 0GuyMan0
11.15.16 | big props for 5 and 6. I get nowhere defending these albums.
Load is my 2nd favorite Metallica album. Its not thrash, hell its barely even metal, but like you said Bleeding Me and Outlaw Torn are goddamned fucking masterpieces. King Nothing and Until it Sleeps are earworm hard-rock bangers. Most people like "Hero of the Day", even though I don't, but every song has a great hook imo, and Hetfield has NEVER sounded as good as he does on this album.
6 - I love this album so much, but nobody will give it a chance. It may not ever get that chance, either, as it really isn't aging well with a higher emphasis on good production. The guitars are overbearing and fake as fuck. That said, every fucking song is great. "Echelon" is in my personal favorites of all time list. "Fallen" still ranks as a crank-it-up late-night-on-the-road favorite. Really, the whole album is a blast to scream along to. A Beautiful Lie wasn't bad (the T/T is a masterpiece, actually) but it definitely showed the sign of things to come. I think the band used to bust out "Edge of the Earth" if the crowd seemed receptive enough, but lately it seems like they pretty much ignore it. | 0GuyMan0
11.15.16 | Also - 7 is a tones' fan's fav, but if you're a fringe fan of the band there isn't much there for you. Hexagram is amazing, regardless, but I think if you aren't all-in with them then ATF and DE are much more approachable. | dbizzles
11.15.16 | Not all in with them and s/t is far and away my favorite. I, admittedly, have weird opinions about their catalog. | Futures
11.15.16 | 7 is the best tones yeah | 0GuyMan0
11.15.16 | Looks like I have the wrong idea, then. I do agree people tend to gloss over it, though. All that White Pony worship, i'd imagine. | ArsMoriendi
11.15.16 | 10 rules and is my 2nd favorite RHCP | dbizzles
11.15.16 | I don't think you have the wrong idea. I rarely hear it praised as their best. The obligatory 'which-is-best' discussion in the Gore thread seemed pretty split between WP, DE and SNW. | onionbubs
11.15.16 | 4, 7, an 10 are all top 3 from the artist in my book so props, tho nimrod gets its fair share of praise around here, especially when compared to some of their other stuff | Spacesh1p
11.15.16 | "10 is a genuine top 3 peppers "
[2] | DarkSideOfLucca
11.15.16 | I like so many of these aha | Sabrutin
11.15.16 | Trespass is a gem. Dig it more than Nursery as a full listen journey | Snowdog808
11.15.16 | 1 is an awesome album. It's a shame it's so overshadowed by the other masterpieces of their pre-pop rock days. I'd say the first Symphony X album would make it on my version of a list like this. A lot of people see it as only slightly above average while I think it's only weekness is Rod Tyler's vocals not being as superb as Russell's. | Sinternet
11.15.16 | i have 8 downloaded i think but haven't had a chance to listen yet, looks good | dctarga
11.19.16 | Agree 100% with 4 and 7 | onionbubs
11.19.16 | Hey I've been jamming an album a lot lately that fits this bill
Think tank is my #1 blur. And I have seen VERY few people who agree | rodrigo90
11.19.16 | 100% agree onionbubs, HIGH FIVE! | Snowdog808
11.19.16 | I wouldn't consider 2 as unpopular though. It may be looked down upon by some purists, but it's still one of the few extreme metal albums to hit #1 on the American Billboard. | smaugman
11.19.16 | 1 rocks | Xurxo
11.30.16 | Love 10 | Trebor.
12.19.16 | There's no Frusciante in this album yet it makes justice, Of course Dave Navarro is not a guitar God, but it doesn't mean the direction the album took was bad. Coffee shop, Shallow be thy game and warped FTW! | TVC15
12.19.16 | 10 is easily top 3 RHCP |
