Tree-sama's Fall 2013

Not to be confused with the inferior but lovely TREEMAN
1Yoko Fujita
Aita no Namida

A mix of kawaii vocals la Shiina Ringo, heavy dub influences and ambient
arrangements. 100% unique, 100% wag.
2First Meeting
Cut the Rope

Another of Satoko Fujii's Free Jazz Ensembles. This is the most experimental of
what I've heard. Lots of free improvisation-ish stuff going on, lots of noise. My
favorite of hers so far.
3Eric Revis Trio
City of Asylum

A Jazz trio that likes to play around with lots of repetitions. Very different from the
other Jazz I listened to lately. Also, Drums + Piano + Bass = goat trio
4Giacinto Scelsi
5 String Quartets; String Trio, Khoom

He's no Yiruma
5Natural Snow Buildings
The Snowbringer Cult

The NSB side got re-released, AOTY?

It sounds all mean and stuff : /
7Friedrich Cerha
Spiegel; Monumentum; Momente

Spiegel >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
8Idris Ackamoor
Music of Idris Ackamoor 1971-2004

2 and a half hour compilation of Free Afro Jazz Funk, definitely psychedelic as well.
Cool stuff, just a little long. Must have for fans of the genre~
9The Field
Cupid's Head

Wow what is this?
10 Four Tet

Good 2013 electronic releases I thought this wasn't possible : O
11Dawn of Midi

Acoustic Techno while also being jazz, w00000000000000000w. Recipe for a p4k
12Clouds (CAN)
Ghost Systems Rave

Industrial Techno with a bit of a fun & wonky edge.
13DJ Rashad
Double Cup

tfw I'm too hi
14 Ojne

screamo/emo hybrid in the WE SOUND LIKE SHIT IN A GOOD WAY way
15Satoko Fujii Ma-Do
Time Stands Still

Satoko Fujii, what a woman.
16George Russell
Electronic Sonata for Souls Loved by Nature

A little bit impossible to describe.
17Dave Holland
Conference of the Birds

Literally sounds like the title.
18Morton Feldman
String Quartet No. 2

What an experience though.
19Victor Ruiz

Tech House/Minimal Techno single that grooves hard. Shit quality though.
20Masahiko Satoh & Sound Breakers
Amalgamation (Kokotsu no Showa Genroku)

This kinda sounds like a Krautrock band trying to be a Free Jazz ensemble.
21Marginal Consort
INSTAL. Glasgow 2008

3 hours of free drone noise psychedelic jazz rock improvisation jams. I guess.
22The Conet Project
Recordings of Shortwave Numbers Stations

Physically challenging.
23Henryk Mikolaj Gorecki
Symphony No. 3, Op. 36

B-but it's so buutiful *__*
24Manuel Zurria
Repeat! Song of the year, every year.

DJ EZ what a god at the turntables.
