#SAVINGSPUTNIK2013. Part of this is recs from Havey's latest list (if you haven't checked that yet you ain't bout that life) and the rest is stuff I jam. I'll write some sick descriptions because everyone cares.
1David Vassalotti
Book of Ghosts

This is essentially a post-punk album but it doesn't really sound like one because
they went all lo-fi shoegaze noise guitars a bit like Loveless mbv but kinda not
really but then again they actually kinda did. And it's kinda noise rock but not really
because it doesn't really rock your socks off but then again it's super noisey. And it
isn't really shoegaze either because no gazes are shoed but then again the shoes
are gazed so this is really good.
2Gorgon Sound
Find Jah Way

The first minute makes you think you're listening to some dmz-at-their-peak-
transcending shit but then it kinda disappoints but then again only if you compare it
to dmz which is kinda unfair so this is really good.
3Kokushoku Elegy
Esoderic Mania

If you like goth rock or death rock or 80s underground nip music or anything loosely
similar to new wave/post-punk but not really either of these two but kinda similar
then this is amazing for you and you should totes check it out because it is really,
really good.
4Crayon Pop
1st Mini Album

Your Reason: THIS FFUCKING TRANSCENDS MUSIC AND EMOTIONS AND SONICS
AND EXISTENCE AND PERCEPTION AND REALITY AND THINGS AND STUFF
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaTcPBuqspE OHHHHHHHM YYYYYYYY ---- -

5 Big Blood & The Bleedin' Hearts
Big Blood & The Bleedin' Hearts

If you are not familiar with these dudes you are doing it wrong but it's ok I'm here to save you
from your misery just listen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PSENx1RGdE If this isn't one of
the best songs ever idk what is.
6Lucy
Banality of Evil

This is a pretty interesting minimal techno release playing around a bit with dark
ambient aesthetics without REALLY going down the dark ambient route. 3 of the 4
songs fall a bit short in terms of keeping the listener interested but Milgram
Experiment is incredible in every way http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=h5mKC9PJ0c8
7Floorplan
Paradise

Banging techno with a playful twist. Can hear a little juke/footwork influence on a
few of those tracks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCWDZaLPMY4
8Chick and Hiromi
Duet

Almost 2 hours of 2 great pianists going hard.
9 Kiko C. Esseiva
Sous les étoiles

If the sonic experience of eating an apple excites you about as much as listening to
kyary this is the album for you.
10Beneath
FACT Mix 328

Makes me dance a little.
11 Satoko Fujii Trio
Toward, "To West"

This is kinda Free Jazz in a Fire! Orchestra sense but with less instruments.
(duhhhhhh)
12G-Schmitt
G-Schmitt

I think I'm developing an affinity for j goth.
13Olivia Block
Heave To

The usual ambient/field recordings etc crowd should check this hard.
14 Houria Aichi & L'Hijaz'Car
Les Cavaliers de l'Aurès

This is fucking great because it reminds me a lot of Dhafer Youssef but with less
ambient exploration and more focus on neato rhythms and repetitions and stuff it's
really great/AMAZING.
15Aketagawa / Mikami / Ishizuka
Daikanjyo

A hybrid of avant-folk and free jazz/how are you not listening to this already.
16Yoran
Montparnasse

This is unlike anything anyone has ever heard I swear to god. Absolutely unreal.
The moment where it goes "montparnasse, montparnasse" is one of the greatest in
all music history.
17Swell Maps
Jane From Occupied Europe

Somewhat essential post-punk.
18 Wakusei Abnormal
