Questionable Lyricists

This list includes both outright bad lyricists that actually make it difficult to listen to the band, as well as a few that, while not necessarily incompetent, I feel isolate the listener.
1Emarosa

Seriously, Craig is possibly the laziest lyricist ever. The writing on their new self-titled has the rare ability to actually ruin the album based solely on lyrical content. Do I even have to quote some of this trash? "My ego never felt so good, her dress fell faster, and we all know what comes after."
2Bring Me The Horizon

"I will never sleep, 'cuz sleep is for the weak..." Ugh...make it stop.
3Emmure

Ah, Emmure, the gift that keeps on giving. "They will find my corpse on the shower floor. And with my bleeding wrists will be a note that explains all of this." Real hardcore, man. "Dear friends and family, I hope that you can understand." Nope, we don't.
4Linkin Park

Something happened on the way to the studio...LP's lyrics went from comfortably corny on the first two albums to utterly vacuous and bizarrely patriotic. Just listen to their new single Catalyst: "God bless us everyone, we're a broken people living under a loaded gun." What? Is Chester an evangelist now?
5Korn

Davis is Adema singer's half brother, so I guess it runs in the family. 'Shoots and Ladders' is abhorrent. How many pop culture cliches can one vocalist employ?
6Adema

"My life has changed but fuck the fame, I'll stay the same. You can't complain when you can pay the bills and do your thing, appreciate, don't player hate, congratulate." Nuff said, tbh.
7Dance Gavin Dance

Jon Mess...lol. "The first thing I say in the morning is "Fuck that shit." Deep dude. He basically trashes this album with the excessively lame cursing.
8My Epic

Again, some very personal and emotive lyrics, but if you're not Christian, it's pretty much impossible to find any connection. As Cities Burn managed to raise questions while showing their devotion, but My Epic are basically proselytizers.
9Shai Hulud

I really like this band, especially this album, but the pretention on 'Hearts Once Nourished...' is absolutely ridiculous. One song even starts, "Without pretention..." Apparently vocalist didn't even write the lyrics, either.
10The Mars Volta

Ok ok, settle down. Cedric has some awesomely colorful and visual lyrics, but honestly, 90% of the time, wtf is he talking about?
