I live in New England and today you have the one scene that play Hardcore and Pop Punk, which created bands like Defeater, Transit, and Have Heart. They usually play at a venue called Anchors Up, which is the only venue left that really caters to them since places like The ICC and Tigers Den are gone. And then you have the scene that plays metalcore and whatever inbred stuff has come out of Metalcore. They spawned the bands Vanna and Therefore I Am most famously, and they play shows at The Palladium and Rocko's.
