that guy posted a pretty legit jazz list which has some free jazz stuff on it. The Don Cherry album is one I've listened to and I highly recommend it |

04.22.11 | I listened to Coltrane's 'Ascension' and 'Om' and couldn't sit through them. I consider Coltrane's 60s quartet the best group of musicians I've ever heard too. Fusion was difficult for me at first but at least I had the rhythms to focus on and anchor the music. The youtube comments were pretty interesting too. It was either "dude! art at its pinnacle! fucking art!!" or "this is just noise".
