01.27.11 | ive been listening to veil of maya quite a bit. I enjoy them for what they are. I dont think theyll ever write amazing, inspiring music. But in a genre that is over crowded currently I enjoy their metal riffage. I think they would benefit from a vocalist with some more range, maybe even cleans. He kinda sounds like the black dahlia guy, but not as good. |

01.27.11 | I saw Cynic open for BTBAM and was blown away. I was rather disappointed in their first release though. Maybe it's because of the lackluster production. Or maybe its just a little outdated for me. But i dont see why it gets so much praise. That being said, I think traced in air is phenomenal. |
