10.21.10 | Have the Converge under control Eternium, I was actually thinking about grabbing the Burzum. What's Twilight like? The name makes me feel like a sparkly vampire, and I want to die. |
Crysis
10.21.10 | I second Twilight, but don't try to relate them to the shitty movie. They're a USBM "supergroup" with members from Nachtmystium, Krieg, Leviathan, Isis, etc. Really good shit. Youtube "8,000 Years" for a sample. |
eternium
10.21.10 | Twilight is a supergroup of American black metal. Aaron Turner of Isis plays on that album and it gives it a sort of Isis vibe at times that I love. |

10.21.10 | Ire, Dryden, Crysis : Rec while you castigate other users. That makes this a positive exercise for me, as well as a way to hone your biting and witty commentary.
;)
Seriously give me some fuckin' recs. |

10.21.10 | eternium: Love Isis, I'm on it like the black plague was on the peasants in 1400s europe. |
eternium
10.21.10 | And I strongly suggest that you listen to everything else I rec'd. |
Crysis
10.21.10 | Like I said I second Twilight, but also try:

Ikuinen Kaamos- Closure |

10.21.10 | Have the Converge and grew up with Black Flag so they are covered. I'll grab the other stuff you rec'd, what's The Blinding Light and Nails akin to? I vaguely know Refused. |

10.21.10 | Check out Plainwords first demo for some awesome post-rock influenced black metal |
eternium
10.21.10 | The Blinding Light is sort of like Converge and really solid metalcore. Nails is some extremely heavy and dark mix of metal and hardcore related to d-beat. I did the review for them. Coalesce is essential metalcore and 0:12 is one of the best albums in the genre. Make sure you have that specific Refused album. |

10.21.10 | I'll be ordering goods from amazon and stocking up on bourbon and coffee, so I'll be sure to get the specified albums. |
