Bands I've Seen Live In 2010
A list (in perfect order) of every band ive seen in rconcert in 2010. I rincluded name of tour/name of headliner to separate rbetween rshows. Top 5 bands are marked |
1 | Matt and Kim
Bamboozle. They were good, kinda bland live with only two people |
2 | MGMT
Bamboozle. Good show, but the crowd only wanted Kids, Electric Feel and Time to
Pretend. Overhead someone say "i want them to play thier old stuff" after they
played Destrokk from the time to pretend EP. |
3 | Weezer
Bamboozle. Alot better than I expected. these guys put on a good show and they
know which songs people like (aka blue album plus the singles from everything
else) I think they also played a song off Pinkerton, which i heard they dont
like doing |
4 | Ra Ra Riot
Summerfest, day one. Pretty good live, but not very energetic |
5 | Sugar and Gold
Summerfest, day one. Fun funkish band. Reminds of Of Montreal |
6 | Stars
Summerfest, day two. They were really good, great festival music |
7 | Slim Thug
Summerfest, day two. Rap, pretty G |
8 | Bun B
Summerfest, day two. Best line of the year "I got mud all over my new Air Js,
but i dont give a FUCK" |
9 | The Flaming Lips
Summerfest, day two. Very good show, very disappointing set. Nothing off
soft bulliten, three songs of yoshimi. |
10 | Tame Impala
MGMT headlined. Weird psychodelic austrailian band. Enjoyable live |
11 | MGMT
Headliner. Very good band live, played a very enjoyable set. Much more fun
at thier own show than the festival |
12 | The Wonder Years
Opener for Streetlight Manfesto. Too pop punk for me |
13 | The Supervillians
Opener for Streelight Manifesto. Very stong set, exceeded expectations by
a lot |
14 | Streetlight Manifesto
Headliner. Best show of 2010. So much fun, so much energy. I will literally
see these guys any time they are with in 50 miles of me. |
15 | Verbatim
My friends band, put it on the list to note it |
16 | Between the Buried and Me
The Cool Tour. Very good technically, but not much stage presence (mainly
bc they were and opener and couldnt use the lights) |
17 | Underoath
The Cool tour. Nothing special, played an enjoyable set |
18 | As I Lay Dying
Cool Tour. Very good and intense metal performance. I realized that metal
shows arent really my thing. I prefer to skank than watch people do dumb
kungfu arm swinging shit. |
19 | Manchester Orchestra
Headliner. Not bad, but the acoustic songs dont sound good outside |
20 | Chiddy Bang
Pike Fest. Pretty fun, good rap group. |
21 | The Cool Kids
Pike Fest. Not the best beats, but they were fun to watch. |
22 | Janelle Monae
Opener for Of Montreal. Decent, very funky |
23 | Of Montreal
Headliner. I saw these guys at summerfest 09. Alot better festival band
than headliner, mainly bc they overplayed the new album (that came out
two days before and no one knew the words to/its not that good) Would
see them again at a festival or if theyre not touring an album. |
24 | Pretty and Nice
Opener for Built to Spill. These guys were pretty good. I havent been able
to find their stuff, but this was really fun. |
25 | Revolt Revolt
Opener for Built to Spill. Okay, good enough to not be bored but nothing
special. |
26 | Built to Spill
Headliner. Very good, they played everything spot on. singer was
awesome. Too much time inbetween songs. Concert #5 of 2010 |
27 | Maps and Atlases
Headliner. Caught the end of thier show, not really my thing. |
28 | Bobby Birdman
Opener for Ratatat. Pretty good, opened every song by saying 'this ones
about surfing' |
29 | DOM
opener for Ratatat. Not good. I thought they were a hair metal band until i
heard thier songs online a month later (which isnt that bad) |
30 | Ratatat
Headliner. Pretty good, but I wasnt on the floor so that took alot out of it.
also they are really greedy. (25 dollars for a shirt with only two people in
the band, come on) |
31 | Hard Skin
Opener for Big D. Entertaining and funny mock oi band. |
32 | The Ashers
Opener for Big D. Good hardcore punk band |
33 | Big D and the Kids Table
Halloween Show. Really fun. The venue was a little over packed, so no circle
pits. Concert #4 for 2010 |
34 | Koo Koo Kangaroo
Opener for Reel Big Fish. Silly electronic band for toddlers. entertaining and
got the crowd moving |
35 | Suburban Legends
Opener for Reel Big Fish. Good ska band, played Bed Intruder song, so props. |
36 | The Aquabats
Opener for RBF. Not really my thing, but they were enjoyable |
37 | Reel Big Fish
Headliner. Best opening bands of the year. They were awesome, had alot
of fun in the pit at this one. Concert #2 for 2010 |
38 | Dirty Dishes
Opener for Bear Hands. Local band, good musicans but not my style |
39 | Hesta Prynn
Opener for Bear Hands. Pretty good musican, she signed the ep i bought
which was really nice. |
40 | Bear Hands
Headliner. Awesome show, most fun alternative band ive seen all year.
Concert #3 for 2010 |
