08.09.12 | Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a lot of rolling around/grappling. I've taken 8 years worth of American Jiu Jitsu, Judo and JKD. I would recommend Jiu Jitsu, if taught right it's one of the most versatile and methodical (yet instinctive and realistic) martial
arts.
Yet you say to get in shape? BJJ will do wonders for your core, as I'm sure most martial arts will. JJ will get you flexible and pain tolerant as shit. At any rate, read up a lot on anatomy, vitamins, and conditioning. If I find a helpful book I'll post it
