Sputnik Haircut

Was bored today and went about deleting some of the ridiculous amount of soundoffs I made when I first joined the site. Trimmed it so far from 116 to 70 (still too much). List is some recent digs and stuff I've been re-discovering.
1Amplifier
The Octopus

As if a double album isn't long enough, the average length of songs on this is like 7-8 mins. Quite a listen but surprisingly consistent and impressive.
2Tyler, the Creator
Goblin

I've taken a liking to him. Anyone see him get punk'd? The scene where he jumps into the truck is amazing. Link: http://pitchfork.com/news/46051-watch-tyler-the-creator-on-punkd/
3 Skyharbor
Blinding White Noise: Illusion & Chaos

The album I've been most excited about these past few weeks. My personal rec for all of you.
4Neurosis
Through Silver in Blood

Finally a Neurosis album I actually 'get'. The longer songs on this are the highlights for sure.
5High On Fire
De Vermis Mysteriis

So...punishing...my ears.
6Mudvayne
Mudvayne

"Heard It All before" = one of their best songs EVER
7P.O.S.
Never Better

Just got this today after reading the "Triathlon" playlist Matt put up in his blog.
8Jack White
Blunderbuss

I didn't rate this that well because it's a bit hit-or-miss for me. But some songs on this are fabulous, definitely worth checking out if you haven't.
9Queens of the Stone Age
Songs for the Deaf

Listened to this for the first time in over a year. So fucking good.
10Lupe Fiasco
Food & Liquor

This is one classy motherfucking guy. This album has so much swag, so much class. I'd forgotten how addicting his music is. My old favorites are "Sunshine" and "The Instrumental".
