If you think our race is seriously fucked based on eating meat you're dumb. There's some fucked up shit about our race no doubt; but when you have this many people on the planet, the majority of which eat meat, it's not like is going to be immaculately made, that's just a dumb assumption. Yea alot of meat is processed on lines and in packing plants/factories or whatever, but it's pretty much the only way to do it on such a massive scale. I really don't see people stopping or even cutting back on eating meat, so it'll just continue. |

I think me and Mappy are the only vegans on this site, personally on the meat issue I feel that dairy is far worse than meat when it comes to the suffering it causes.
We artificially inseminate the cows as cows only produce milk when pregnant or has a calf. We take away the calf, if female it become another milking cow if male it is then isolated and fed an iron deficient diet and then slaughtered for veal. The mother in the mean time mourns over the loss of her child. Once she stops producing milk the cycle is repeated until she can practically not be able to produce an amount of milk the farmer needs she is slaughtered for hamburger meat. Fuck that shit. |

10.14.11 | Your vegetables and fruits are actually much more likely to be better if they're local. It means the farmers can harvest them closer to their peak ripeness (and, thus, highest point of nutritional value) instead of picking them far beforehand to make sure they don't rot in shipping.
Of course, there are things that aren't available in certain places, but if I can buy apples locally, I'll do that instead of buying ones shipped from Washington. :P |

I think there's a reason some apples from New Zealand are better than many here. Though we also have one of the highest demanding food laws in the world, which means the "crap" rarely gets to the store. (one of the reasons why food here is that expensive, in dollars you pay like 7-15 bucks for less than 1lbs of good cheese, similar with meat) |

Well, duh, that's why China enforced heavy fines if you're having too many kids. But, like I said, education and easily available birth control is the best bet for slowing down the population growth, especially in developing countries.
