|
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | hi oathbreaker! :] how are you today? |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | i'm having a shit/good day. I'm ill but that means i get to stay at home for another week and listen to music 10 hours a day uninterupted :) |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | neat! :] what are you going to listen to? |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | currently got stacked up for the rest of my afternoon
Drudkh - Autumn Aurora
Sarcofago - I.N.R.I
Unearth - The March
Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales
Godspeed you! Black Emperor - F#a#(wierd thingy)
spent the morning listening to 2 albums by Striborg, a word of warning NEVER LISTEN TO STRIBORG |
Oathbreaker
07.04.11 | "hi oathbreaker! :] how are you today?"
I was in a pretty bad mood but your list just made my day Noctus :] |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | haha I heard bad things so I won't bother :] bunch of good CD's there, especially F#A#oo which is in my top 2 albums of all time! [: |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | i notice the embers full length on your list, i havnt listened to it yet. Got their discog off bandcamp last week i've listened to their split so far but nothing else. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | "I was in a pretty bad mood but your list just made my day Noctus :]"
awww! :] sometimes all you need is to see a great big smile [:
@MoosechriS: you really need to listen to it, it's really great :] |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | got a 30 something album backlog at the moment so going to work my way through the pile next to my stereo. Got a ton of other stuff to arrive yet too (check my list out). what you up to anyways dude? home? work? anything? lol |
Crysis
07.04.11 | Sup Noctus, if I remember correctly you're a PC Gamer so please give me some game recs because I've been fucking bored lately and I'm resorting to playing through Half-Life 2 for like the 10th time. Old or new idc. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | well right now I'm packing for moving on wednesday, which is kind of scary :[ when I get there I'll be job hunting and recording music :] graduated college a few weeks back so I'm free! |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | hi Crysis :] uhh I'd recommend left4dead and the sequel, so much fun to be had, almost infinite replay value and it's wayyy better on PC than on console. |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | cool :] me and my missus moved at christmas, it can get a bit crazy but it always feels worth it when your done. Wish i could have graduated college, i recently had to drop out 2 years into a 3 year course due to problems with the course being accredited by the wrong governing bodies |
Crysis
07.04.11 | Yeah I already have L4D 1 and 2, might install them. I also might re-install Oblivion because that game can chew away some time. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | you can just lose yourself in Oblivion so that's certainly worth installing again.
@MoosechriS: yeah, here's hoping it'll feel worth it :] the place is wonderful, been going there since my childhood and it's possibly my favorite place in the world. from the house you can either walk for 5 minutes to the beach in one direction, or walk 5 minutes in the other direction to vast forests. it's an island and it's wonderfully homely. :] |
Crysis
07.04.11 | Yeah I've been really wanting to immerse myself in another RPG after I finished up The Witcher 2. Probably going to pre-order Skyrim in the next few weeks as well. November 11th can't come soon enough. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | gosh I couldn't agree more, I may as well write myself off of all plans when November rolls around. Skyrim looks incredible. :] |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | Thats like were i lived as a kid, it was an old rural fishing village. Similar to where your going in the sense that you could walk to the beach in a few minutes and there was nothing else for miles outside of the village apart from fields. We had to move when i was about 5 and i've lived in the grey rainy placde that is the north west of England ever since haha. But it's home and were me and my girlfriend live now is a really nice place to bring up a family so it's perfect for us really. Sounds like abeautiful place where your going though dude, i'm sure you'll love it. |
Crysis
07.04.11 | With that, Battlefield 3 and that new LOTR game all out in November I will be dead to the world. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | oh cool you're in England too :] I'm moving to the Isle of Wight, you've probably heard of it :] it's wonderful. @Crysis: hahahaha yes, but I'm signing my life away to Skyrim and no other. the LOTR game looks cool though. |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | ahh didnt realise you were english noctus. were you living at the moment? i'm in the wonderfully wet town of warrington lol slap bang between liverpool and manchester |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | i'm in Nuneaton right now, in Warwickshire. never been where you are but it sounds great, I quite like grey and rainy places. makes perfect "staying in drinking espresso listening to agalloch" days. :] |
G3N3R1C
07.04.11 | Skyrim looks incredible. :] [∞] |
Sanders
07.04.11 | ^ YES, a Northerner!
Edit: That was aimed at MooseChriS, but DarkNoctus, I do a bit of my placement work at George Eliot
hospital! |
ShinXetsu
07.04.11 | @Crysis: Did you already grab Mass Effect 1 and 2 yet? |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | ahh i know of nuneaton, i think i've driven through there before but never visited. The isle of wight is meant to be awesome i reckon you'll love it. Drinking coffee and listening to black metal is always awesome. Although i still have not listened to agalloch yet (i do aim to change this) i've been buying quite randomly at the moment, and i'm still waiting for a ton of tapes from black twilight and rhinocervs to get here at some point. |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | @ sanders - us northeners stick together, eating pie chips and gravy haha |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | "I do a bit of my placement work at George Eliot hospital!" I was born there! :]
MoosechriS I wouldn't have got an Agalloch tattoo if they weren't amazing. I'd recommend them, obviously. :] |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | there one of those bands that i've been meaning to buy their stuff for ages and keep forgetting or not having the money. What would you recomend to start with? |
Wolfhorde
07.04.11 | There's a shitload of good games coming out at the ending quarter of this year.
Oh, and thanks for reminding me to get some coffee. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | difficult question. I'd probably move through their discography. all their albums are pretty damn different and there's way too much debate on which is their best and worst, there's about an equal amount of people in each camp so start at the roots and work your way through. :] |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | fuck it i'm gonna check amazon now :] |
Sanders
07.04.11 | Haha, Gravy or curry sauce, either's a winner for me! Preston has a couple of bitching pie shops, and there was once a point in the town centre where you could stand and see 3 Greggs shops...
George Eliot's a decent enough hospital, but compared to UHCW in Coventry it's starting to look a little dated... small world though! :) |
MetallicOpeth
07.04.11 | Sup Noctus :]
Diggin' 1 and 3 as well. |
MoosechriS
07.04.11 | @ sanders - yeah it's crazy, i thought there were hardly any english people on here at all i thought most were american. as for the 3 greggs shops i don't think warrington is far behind. i think theres pretty much every chain bakers shop in the town centre. The best though has to be waterfields :] oh there pies are good :D
@ Noctus - just ordered pale folklore haha |
Crysis
07.04.11 | "@Crysis: Did you already grab Mass Effect 1 and 2 yet?"
Yeah they are two of my all-time favorite video games, can't wait for the third. |
MetallicOpeth
07.04.11 | Hey Crysis if you have a PS3/360 I'd say check out Vanquish. Basically Gears of War on steroids. |
Sanders
07.04.11 | Crysis, have you tried Dead Space 1 and 2, or Portal 2? All cracking games, and I'll second Vanquish, you can get it dead cheap on consoles these days too. |
Crysis
07.04.11 | @Metallic - Yeah I have a 360, so I'll look into it. Thanks.
@Sanders - I have Dead Space 1 but never bothered with the second (for whatever weird reason... I hear it is supposed to be excellent). Portal 2 is actually on sale today in the Steam store so I may buy that, the first was great fun. |
Sanders
07.04.11 | Dead Space 2 is class, more tightly scripted and action-packed than the first. Portal 2's awesome, it's clever, funny as hell and Stephen Merchant does an amazing job voice acting-wise, but the only problem is its replay value. Still, one of the best games to come out so far this year :) |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | "just ordered pale folklore haha" hope you enjoy it! if I remember rightly it's also Crysis' favorite album of all time. :]
gosh I still need to play the Dead Space games, been meaning to since forever. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | sup metallic :] 1 and 3 are really great, loving them a lot |
Wolfhorde
07.04.11 | Dead Space is awesome as Sanders already said, especially the second one. The weapons are extremely awesome.
Also the I find the voice-acting of Stephen Merchant is the best thing about Portal 2. |
MetallicOpeth
07.04.11 | Hell yea, the Dead Space series has been the first to wow me in a long time. Very original. |
Crysis
07.04.11 | "if I remember rightly it's also Crysis' favorite album of all time."
You do remember correctly ;) |
Crysis
07.04.11 | Dead Space draws a lot (a LOT) of influence from the System Shock series |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | i'll check it out then for sure :] |
MetallicOpeth
07.04.11 | Yea that's what I heard. Never played any of the Sustem Shocks unfortunately which is why I found Dead Space so original. I know EA is the rights holder to it so it makes sense that there'd be similarities. |
sifFlammable
07.04.11 | oblivion dawg
im immersed in cyrodill atm man
lucian lachance missions with black metal on m/ |
Crysis
07.04.11 | dark brotherhood ist krieg |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | sanguine, my brother :] |
Crysis
07.04.11 | I'm hoping Skyrim will fix what was wrong with Oblivion (even though Oblivion is still a brilliant game). I got tired of seeing the same dungeon textures over and over and over and hearing the same voice actors over and over and over and seeing the same enemies over and over and over. If Skyrim has variety it will be masterful. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | yeah and the endless glitches and the repetitive dialogue, if they fix that, I think we'll more or less have the perfect RPG. :] |
iFghtffyrdmns
07.04.11 | "Guyyyys! :]"
couldn't possibly be a noctus list....
|
sifFlammable
07.04.11 | personally the worst thign about oblivion is their leveling system
sorta fucked up that leveling makes it harder |
Acanthus
07.04.11 | Day would be better if the fever went away, but glad that your day is seeming to rock nonetheless! |
psykonaut
07.04.11 | "personally the worst thign about oblivion is their leveling system"
if you have it for the PC download the oblivion XP mod. fixes that shit up real well.
list is :] |
Obfuscation24
07.04.11 | your flaming homosexuality continues to make sputnik a happier place :] :] :] |
Dismantle
07.04.11 | list made me happy :] |
Josh D.
07.04.11 | I don't want to go to work tomorrow, I just had 5 days off (although half of it was in hospital) :/ |
Samshine
07.04.11 | Shampoo is betta, i go on first and clean dah hair
No conditiona is betta, i leave dah hair silkyyy and smooootthh |
Tyrael
07.04.11 | Glad to see you're liking 1 Noctus :] |
Vesper
07.04.11 | Noctus is totes adorbs. :]
What kind of shampoo/conditioner is it? I was a huge sucker for the Original Source Lime stuff when I lived in the UK. Sadly, it does not ship to the US, because they're environmentally friendly. :[ |
Vesper
07.04.11 | Oh, wait, that was shower gel... but still, it was ridiculous and had, like, 50 limes in a bottle. |
AngelofDeath
07.04.11 | Yeah, I hope not every side quest in Skyrim is in a friggin dungeon like in Oblivion. |
Wolfhorde
07.04.11 | Please stop the girl-talk about shampoo 'n shit.
I hope not every side quest in Skyrim is in a friggin dungeon like in Oblivion [2] |
Crysis
07.04.11 | I wouldn't mind if they were dungeons, just as long as the dungeons are unique. I can only dream about the day where we have an open world single-player RPG where all the environments are unique, each place has its own aura, and each dungeon looks different from the last in terms of layout, look and contents. It will be nirvana. |
Vesper
07.04.11 | But I am a girl, Wolf. :/
And Noctus is Noctus. |
Crysis
07.04.11 | Anyone with long hair talks about shampoo or conditioner at least once, guy or girl. |
AngelofDeath
07.04.11 | Very true. The gameplay vid they released during E3 looks pretty damn good. Has sustained my fairly high hopes.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxJbGYeTc9s |
Crysis
07.04.11 | I want PC system requirements ASAP |
Tyrael
07.04.11 | I wish I still had my long hair... |
Sanders
07.04.11 | The only Original Source gel I go for is the mint one, it's awesome, and tingles. Especially on the balls. |
wyankeif1337
07.04.11 | New jakob album *wtf phone doesn't have brackets* |
AngelofDeath
07.04.11 | I think Squaresoft should scrap their current formula for the Final Fantasy series and make an Elder Scrolls-type RPG with environments like Final Fantasy XI. If they could make a game with a world as epic, large, and unique is that with an interface like Oblivion, it would be pretty much the best thing ever. |
Tyrael
07.04.11 | I'd rather see them finally developing that FF VII remake for the PS3 |
AngelofDeath
07.04.11 | Well, I would too, but it seems doubtful this long after they released that intro footage. Still my favorite game ever. |
sifFlammable
07.04.11 | the graphic engine looks slightly gimmicky, but wow man skyrim m/ |
MetallicOpeth
07.04.11 | "Still my favorite game ever."
It's definitely in my top 5, so good. |
Wolfhorde
07.04.11 | What pissed me off most with Elder Scrolls was tbh the fighting system. It seemed kinda montonous and when you had a good weapon (for example the soul hammer from one of the expansions) you were like immortal and I pretty much agree with the voice and dungeon stuff.
|
Tyrael
07.04.11 | Yep, mine too. Crisis Core + Advent Children have satisfied my hunger for more FFVII stuff for now. |
AngelofDeath
07.04.11 | I sold my PSP right before Crisis Core came out and never got a chance to play it. Dirge of Cerberus was kind of meh, but I enjoyed Advent Children for what it was worth. |
Pyosisified
07.04.11 | dude the psp is also good for ps1 and gba games and shit |
Tyrael
07.04.11 | Crisis Core is a great game, but no FF VII :]
Hehe Advent Children is one of my favourite movies |
sifFlammable
07.04.11 | i kinda liked the voices man, for example their scripts and hearing NPCs go into awkwardly formal and
comedic discourses with each other. comical imperfections like that r charming man, kinda reminded me
of tarantino films ae |
Crysis
07.04.11 | Never liked Final Fantasy. Japanese-style RPG's are boring as hell imo |
MaskAtTheMasquerade
07.04.11 | i love this description!!!!! |
Pyosisified
07.04.11 | try legend of the dragoon on the ps1, very enjoyable random battles. used to play that shit to death, good times |
Tyrael
07.04.11 | Normally I would agree with you on that Crysis, but Final Fantasy games have addictive gameplay and superb storylines imo |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | "What kind of shampoo/conditioner is it?" I've been quite the Bed Head follower for a while but I decided to try this with the matching conditioner. http://www.osmonation.com/care/shampoo/deep-moisturising-shampoo.html I've used their intensive deep repair mask for a while and it's fantastic. :]
|
taxidermist
07.04.11 | I love conditioning my hair. Leaves it so smoooooooth ;D |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | i agree! intensive conditioner is the bomb when you leave it in for about half an hour :] |
Wolfhorde
07.04.11 | Okay, now you both have officially lost 90% of your ballcredibility. |
taxidermist
07.04.11 | I also condition my balls m/ |
Wolfhorde
07.04.11 | Okay, that's 100. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | "Okay, now you both have officially lost 90% of your ballcredibility." come now, I'm Noctus! I have none to speak of anyway! also you don't have to be gay to want soft and shiny hair that smells of shea butter :] |
MetallicOpeth
07.04.11 | 100 |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | i guess that means everyone likes a good Noctus list :] |
Apollo
07.04.11 | :] Noctus is cool but lose the retarded smily thing |
BloodSweatandBeers
07.04.11 | you just did it too |
Wolfhorde
07.04.11 | "come now, I'm Noctus! I have none to speak of anyway! also you don't have to be gay to want soft and shiny hair that smells of shea butter :]"
As long as you keep it to yourself I'm fine with it. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | sure because the whole world keeps being straight to themselves, yep, of course. oh wait! :] |
qwe3
07.04.11 | whyd you copy chambereds smiley |
gypsyrick
07.04.11 | Wow, the conversation in here has been so nice. All your smiling worked, Noctus, I love you. |
DarkNoctus
07.04.11 | awww! I love you too! :] |
taxidermist
07.05.11 | That smiley is contagious :] |
DarkNoctus
07.05.11 | it'll suck you in and give you noctus happiness :] |
