09.13.11 | It's rather good but Silhouettes was better
and Polars |

09.13.11 | My favorite album of theirs because they have a new awesome vocalist. |

09.13.11 | he's really good but the songs aren't that memorable and the album seems nothing like a grower to me
however cover is awesome |
greg84
09.13.11 | The album is not perfect for sure. Many songs are just too long, but still it's better than their previous stuff that I wasn't a big fan of. The focus is more on atmosphere than technicality this time around. |
Jethro42
09.13.11 | ...who left Silice to join in (to complete the 1st sentence of Greg) =] |

09.13.11 | What's the actual genre of metal? Br00tal Met00lz? |
greg84
09.13.11 | Nah. Math metal or prog metal. I guess now they're leaning more towards prog/alt. |
scissorlocked
09.13.11 | no it's something like Thinkin man's, post-Meshuggaahhhh progressive shit |
Jethro42
09.13.11 | Ah, I see. And how do you label Meshuggah or Strapping Young Lad? |
Jethro42
09.13.11 | Hello scissor! |
MasBarHigeuoris21
09.13.11 | I would say this is prog/math metal. Meshuggah/Strapping Young Lad are prog/math metal bands too. You can hear some of the similarities between this new record and Meshuggah. Meshuggah will normally beat you over the head with the same riff for minutes on end. Textures does the same thing at times on this record |

09.13.11 | Thanks for opening up this thread scissor. I was just thinking last night how I understand why people sometimes compare Textures to Meshuggah |
scissorlocked
09.13.11 | my pleasure MasBarHigeuoris21!! Textures have clearly incorporated Meshuggah elements to their style
Jethrooooo!What's up bud? |
Jethro42
09.13.11 | Ah not much my friend. I keep on posting on cool threads. Sup. |

09.13.11 | the same here, posting on whatever I find fun
I also have begun a Beatles marathon- I want to check their whole discography and now I'm digging some Rubber Soul. It's fantastic |
Jethro42
09.13.11 | Great idea man! What a brillant career The Beatles had. Also their great songs go to infinity |
scissorlocked
09.13.11 | yeah, I begun with the conviction that knowing The Beatles better is knowing modern music better
so i believe that I will return a little awakened after the journey!! |

09.13.11 | Word! |

09.14.11 | It kinda really disappointed me ESPECIALLY with the vocals |
jimmykidd
09.15.11 | no where near as good as silhouettes. |

09.16.11 | ^^ Technically, presence wise, yes. But this album is such a grower. I'm absolutely loving the melodic parts. |
