| Saw TTNG/ASIWYFA
Saw the Sargent House Tour with TTNG and And So I Watch You From Afar last night as it came through Austin. They played the outdoor stage at Red 7. | 1 | | Russian Circles Geneva
After stuffing my face with some overpriced but admittedly good barbecue, I headed to the venue. Bought a TTNG shirt and chatted with Chris Collis, who signed it. Geneva was playing out of the speakers as we were waiting for the show to start. | 2 | | Mylets Retcon
So after a short while, Henry Kohen/Mylets pops up on stage and starts doing his stuff. One song in, he had some mishap, couldn't really tell what happened. He played it off. I didn't really care for Retcon, I think his vocals just ruined it for me, but I found him a lot more likeable live. The two songs that he closed with were really good. | 3 | | TTNG 13.0.0.0.0
TTNG was awesome. Some giddy little black kid was invited on stage to sing on 26 Is Dancier Than 4. He goofed up the timing a bit and I heard him embarrassingly muttering to himself and his bud afterwards. Mylets joined them for Adventure Stamina & Anger and he sounded better than he did on his own stuff. TTNG was the main act I went to see and was indeed my favorite of the night. | 4 | | And So I Watch You From Afar All Hail Bright Futures
ASIWYFA definitely had the energy but since I was unfamiliar with a lot of their stuff, quite a few of the songs, especially those in the middle of the setlist, sounded similar. They opened their set well and they definitely closed the night well. Props. | |

10.20.13 | They've got dates planned for most big cities in the Midwest and East coast over the course of the next month. If you've got the opportunity to go to one of the shows on this tour, I highly suggest it. | chemicalmarriage

10.20.13 | Yeah I'm seeing them in Houston on Oct 20 (right now)... Except there's a local band called Sunrise and Ammunition as the first opener as well. Really interested for TTNG and ASIWYFA | suppatime
11.17.13 | oh my goodness. last night was one of the best shows i've ever been to. TTNG was amazing as expected. they were absolutely perfect and the vocals were as well. but holy shit ASIWYFA... i didn't even know their music going into it but they quickly made me a huge fan. killer energy and kept the crowd moving through the entire thing. their use of dynamics was something i have never seen in a live band. it was truly a treat. |
