KINDA SPOILER ALERT: Lori is killed at the end of the eighth arc during the comics by "The Governor" and his crew (the actor who will play The Governor has signed on for season three), so I assume that she'll be dead (along with her newborn kid) by the end of the next season if the writers choose to stick close to source material. Shane's death is inevitable, but he's pretty much a moving target since he is way past his death date in the comics.
