Well, you realize that it isn't just "oh yeah, zombies, shoot 'em in the fucking head!" but more of just seeing how people interact/change being in the whole "world gone to shit" situation. But of course there's still zombies :p |

But the thing about the Walking Dead is that they treat the subject matter differently; they're aware of how overdone the topic is, and they shine it in a new light. Sure, it isn't for everyone. But I would recommend you check out at least the first episode :) |

11.09.11 | Metamorphosis, thank you! I'm quite jealous- I live in Atlanta (where the Walking Dead started off, incidentally), and they aren't coming around here for some reason this time. It sucks, because I adore every single one of the bands... Meh, maybe next time.
Yeah Autumn it's great, but of course there will be others that don't like it. It's not about "slaughtering zombies" 100% like some think it is- it does have action scenes, but there's much emphasis on character development, and it portrays the zombies much differently than most other shows on the subject do. |

11.09.11 | I hope it picks up soon because I'm tired of seeing Rick and Lori being all dramatic about their son. It's The Walking Dead, not the The Walking Soap Opera. It will definitely pick up, though, because there is supposed to be some crazy stuff that happen at the farm.
Also, I want to see more zombies!!! The last episode had only one zombie and the rest of the episode was boring as hell. Daryl's character is not in the graphic novel, but I think I like him the best because his character has changed over the course of the show and he has turned into a bad ass. |

11.09.11 | As bad as the dialogue is in the show it's every bit as bad in the graphic novel. Kirkman does a good job of developing characters and believable situations and shit but jesus christ is it painful to read the dialogue bubbles sometimes.
Anyways the pilot was great and the 2nd episode (and I believe the 3rd one if that's the episode where they go to rescue Merle) was fun but the rest of the first season was a mess. So far the second season has been much better. the show still has problems but at least it feels like show has direction now. |
