what can i say, i love the orchestral shit. and i respect oasis (specifically noel) for actually arranging the string section rather than just sampling shit (i.e. "bittersweet symphony"). | | 3 | Live Forever
great ending and once again great falsetto at the end. | | 4 | Slide Away
the only reason this isn't higher is cuz it drags on FOREVER at the end, but the rest is so good, it deserves the #4 spot. | | 5 | Don't Look Back in Anger
one of my favorite noel-sung songs. i especially love the ending on this one. | | 6 | Digsy's Dinner
although the song is pretty much nonsense lyrically, it's unfairly catchy and is addicting to sing along to (and i know i shouldn't end w/ a preposition but w/e). | | 7 | Talk Tonight
great little acoustic ballad. | | 8 | Supersonic
this song has TONS of attitude and although i'm not really a liam fan, his vocals really make this one a gem. | | 9 | The Importance of Being Idle
one of the only newer oasis ones on here, but still a great track in my books. | | 10 | Half the World Away
okay just start blasting me now for omitting wonderwall, champagne supernova, and all around the world (and some might say for that matter), but those particular tracks just aren't my fav's from oasis. they'd all definitely be in my top 20 but they're just not quite in my my top 10. as far as choice goes, i really love noel's singing and songwriting and this is yet another one of his terrific ballads. | |
