My Most Anticipated Albums Of 2010

Okay in order to make this list the albums have to have at least a TBA (2010) announced somewhere. Artists that released an album in 2008 and therefore should have an album coming out sometime cannot make the list. My two runners up are the upcoming Cynic EP, since it only has 1 new song on it, and the new Whitechapel album, as im just curious to see if they will improve their sound or not.
1 Lostprophets
The Betrayed

Lostprophets are my favorite band of all time. They were the first CD I bought. I love every single one of their songs. They are to me, as the beatles are to everyone else. I'd give ALMOST anything to see them live.
2 Periphery
Untitled Debut Album

One of my favorite new bands, I cant wait to hear their new material along with remastered versions of "Light" "The Walk" and "Icarus Lives". Im going to preorder their album the second it hits the online stores.
3 Pig Destroyer
Untitled 5th Album

They're my favorite grindcore band. Phantom Limb was my favorite album of 2007. I hope they keep their song structures similar to PL, and please don't let this album be like Natasha.
4 TesseracT
One

They FINALLY have their debut album coming out, after years of being famous on the interwebz.
5 The Ocean
Untitled Double Album

A DOUBLE album? The ocean never fail to dissapoint. If these albums are better than Precambrian, It'll be one of the best years in music in a while.
6 The Dillinger Escape Plan
Option Paralysis

Ive loved everything they've ever done. Im quite interested to see how they've progressed and how they're going to change their sound.
7 Wintersun
Time

Its taken 6 years for the sequel to Wintersun, but I believe it will be worth it. They're the only band, along with Ensiferum, that I like that has folk metal in it.
8Mutiny Within
Mutiny Within

I love the song they've posted off it. These guys are doing their first tour with Exodus, Arch Enemy and Arsis, so look out for them.
9Arsis
Starve For The Devil

Arsis have always been good and one of their high points, musical elements aside, is the album covers. They've always had the best, but this one kind of dissapoints. Still sure to be a killer album, with their original drummer returning.
10 Necrophagist
Untitled 3rd Album

It's taken 6 years for the 3rd album, but Suicmez will make it worth it.
11 Atheist
Untitled 4th Album

This is the one alot of people have been waiting for. SEVENTEEN YEARS to be precise. Since Cynic and Pestilence recently released new material, Atheist decided not to let them have all the fun.
12 Decrepit Birth
Polarity

Diminishing Between Worlds was an amazing album. Ive heard they're getting Seagrave to do album art, so Im VERY interested as to what it will be.
13 Exodus
The Atrocity Exhibition: Part II

Part 1 wasn't as good as Shovel Headed Kill Machine, but hopefully this will put them back on top.
14 Circa Survive
Untitled 3rd Album

Along with lostprophets, the only non-metal albums on the list. Shows how much I love them.
15 Spawn Of Possession
Untitled 3rd Album

It's taken 4 years, but their 3rd album should be one of the best Tech Death albums of the year.
16 Dark Tranquility
We Are The Void

I have yet to find a DT album that I really REALLY like, even though The Gallery is a classic and Fiction is my favorite album from them. Hopefully this will fill that gap.
17Mnemic
Sons Of The System

The album art is kinda cool I suppose. Mnemic have been doing their modern metal/industrial metal better than most bands, so this should be interesting.
18 Ihsahn
After

Ive loved his first two works, hopefully this will stack up to them.
19 The Devin Townsend Project
Deconstruction

Addicted was amazing, although I didnt like Ki very much. I think I heard somewhere this will be the heaviest album of the 4, so im excited for it.
20Living Sacrifice
The Infinite Order

A comeback album by death metal legends, I saw these guys live recently after they reformed. They still got it.
