My Top 10 Favorite Albums (currently)

These are the albums that I currently either listen to or respect the most.
1Between the Buried and Me
Colors

This has been the reigning king of my top ten albums list for two years now. My appreciation has only grown for it over time. I love every facet
of this record.
2 between the Buried and Me

Probably the heaviest album I own. This album has the best breakdowns I have ever heard and also
some
of the most beautiful passages anybody could hope for. Tons of respect for this record. And The Man
Land
is simply the best ending to a record ever, period.
3From A Second Story Window
Delenda

I'm rarely in a crazy enough mood for this album, but when I am, there is absolutely nothing better I
could
be doing with my time. The level of creativity, dynamic and mood that is achieved on this record is
absolutely astounding, and I love how unique and massive sounding the production is.
4Thrice
The Artist In The Ambulance

There is not one second of mediocrity on this album. Not all of the songs are masterpieces (some are,
like
Stare At The Sun and Paper Tigers), but every second is enjoyable, and I love how consistently heavy the
album is without ever getting old.

6Thrice
Beggars

This album is so diverse; I can't think of another album where every song is so different in feel and
execution yet is so rock solid. I love how confidently simple this record is. Thrice wasn't trying to prove
anything with this; they just wanted to make a great album.
7Converge
Jane Doe

This is almost obligatory, but really, this album is an absolute classic in so many ways. Beastly certainly
does not cut it.
8 The Battle Of Los Angeles
Rage Against the Machine

This album is classic in every way. Testify, Sleep Now In The Fire, Guerilla Radio, Born of A Broken Man,
the
list of classic songs goes on. The less popular songs are also incredible and Morello's guitar work is
stunning
as usual.
9Underoath
Define The Great Line

Getting to the point of loving this album was a long process, but I'm so glad that I finally realized how
incredible it is. Every aspect of the production on this album is flawless and every song is memorable
and
epic in some way.
10The Faceless
Akeldama

This is the way to do tech death. These guys are so skilled in that they never let their preposterous level
of
technicality get ahead of their creativity. Every song is a death metal masterpiece and the album's short
length is completely overlooked due to the quality of the music displayed.
