Bulldog: 30 Reviews/30 Days Log #2

Bulldog 04.11.10	list is grades for XXL freshmen 10 members. im doing a review on the showcasing mixtape tell me what you think of my review format. it has an intro, and then it has a format like this from 1st place artist to 10th place artist. might add a conclusion. comments/thoughts? ----------------------------------------------------- [B][U]10th place – OJ da Juiceman[/B][/U] City: Atlanta, Georgia Style(s): Trap rap, pop rap, southern hip-hop Tracks: 16. “Bread In The Kitchen” and 17. “6 Rings” Artist grade: D- Artist bio/performance description: What a surprise he finds himself at the bottom of the rankings. OJ da Juiceman just mooches off of Gucci Mane (whom he used to deal drugs with) for great beats like the climactic circus-like synth-and-horns show of “6 Rings” and the rapid kicks and snares and saluting trumpets on “Bread In The Kitchen”. That’s the best thing about him. His rapping is annoying. Despite rapping like a “gay chihuahua pirate” as one blogger put it, he doesn’t even have good lyrics. He himself even admits on this he’s “full of adlibs.” Too many “aye’s” and “okays” and poor overall rapping land him at a D-, only being salvaged by the great beats he has.
Bulldog 04.11.10	also, review scrapped was Hard to Kill. it was basically like any other gucci mane review on the site. that is GUCCI MANE HAS GREAT DOPEBOY LYRICS AND AWESOME PRODUCTION, BUT HE'S HAD PROBLEMS WITH HIS VOICE, DELIVERY AND FLOW, BUT HE'S WORKED ON THEM FROM HIS FIRST RELEASE, AND HERE'S HOW. urgh, took alot of time on that one too.

Bulldog 04.11.10	please explain why tombits. hyde gave me positive feedback on it, please give me negative feedback on it. although i wouldnt like to do so, i will scrap it if it means i can make a better review, and prevent myself from putting out a shitty one. i disagree illmitch. tombits 04.11.10	There's nothing in that format that can't be put into a well formed paragraph. It'll just come off as unprofessional and amateur, in the same way a track by track review does.
