TheSpirit's Black Metal Compilation Vol. I
1Boreal
Dusk Of The Warrior

This song is a great combination of ambient, folk and black metal. Some may be put off by the production but IMO it really helps create a great atmosphere. Anyways the actual music rules so that should come above anything.
2Kathaaria
To Dare Not Speak Ist Name

Really impressive black metal with tons of cool riffs, nice vocals and some cool melodies. If you're looking for a slightly more technical version of black metal check this out, it's actual borderline classic material.
3Hellacaust
Millennial Regression

A really great energetic black metal track that is heavily influenced by crust and death metal. Great riffs and the ending gang vocal section really rules.
4Mork Gryning
Journey

This song is cool because it features a recurring melody throughout it's structure, but everytime you hear it's kind of expanded on. Also it has some cool symphonic backing parts
5Arcana Coelestia
Duskfall

All Arcana Coelestia tracks are graced with an excellent, all consuming atmosphere but this one definitely takes the cake. The clean vocal section during the second half is brilliant.
6Dernier Martyr
Angels' Throats

A great shoegaze influenced black metal track; jangly clean guitars, bright upbeat melodies and thunderous drum-work all help solidify that Dernier Martyr are one of post-black metal's most underrated bands.
7Kyprian's Circle
Kun Puhui Myrskyn Henki

This song is a great example that you can create full atmosphere with the help of keyboards and it's not really gay.
8Asmodee
Black Drop Journey

Really technical black metal with an overall good sound productionwise
9White Wolves Kommando
Mordlust

This is actually a bonus track off of White Wolves Kommando first demo White Wolves power. The song is pretty great, doing this whole raw, repetitive thing with some pretty epic melodies. What I find most interesting is that the track songs nothing like the rest of the demo and actually sounds very similar to the type of stuff the band is doing with their latest fourth demo Our Empire of Shadows
10Terzij de Horde
Vertigo - A Mithraic Ritual

Post-black metal that contains some cool slow sections and great, fast-paced sections.
