Oh 2010, You've Been So Kind

Just a few reasons why 2010 has been one of the best years in music ever
1Woe
Quietly, Undramatically

Basically one of the best modern black metal bands as proven with this record.
2Enslaved
Axioma Ethica Odini

In the years they were released, previous Enslaved albums usually ranked within black metals top five of that year; Axioma Ethica Odini is better than ALL of their previous albums.
3Black Swan
Black Swan (In 8 Movements)

Gripping ambient album, not just one of the best for the year but one of the best ever
4Heinali And Matt Finney
Town Line EP

Ukrainian composer Heinali and American spoken word artist Matt Finney first collaboration together. It seems at times to be overshadowed a bit by their second joint effort (Lemonade EP), but this album is a masterpiece of tear jerking symphonic elements, searingly emotional spoken word passages and subtle hints of post-rock.
5Burzum
Belus

Although it got off to a slow start, it is not easy to see that Belus is actually a very strong effort. Sure, it's not as revolutionary as their first three albums, but seriously, what could be these days? Also, it's Burzums return to black metal, a heil-worthy moment if any!
6Immolation
Majesty and Decay

Although some attention may of dropped off since it's initial early year release, this album is still one of the best death metal albums of the year.
7Deftones
Diamond Eyes

Let's just say that before this album came out, I was not the biggest Deftones fan.
8Le Kraken
Exalt

Excellent, excellent sludgy hardcore with ambient sections
9 Thorngoth
Leere

At first this was only just pretty good, but after a few more listens, I've come to really really love this.
10Fell Voices
2010 Tour CD-R

Better than the s/t and the split
