Prophet178
10.20.09 | You know, I've been looking for a band like Minus the Bear forever, and just came to the conclusion that there will never be a band like them.
I would say get Rx Bandits - Mandala and Portugal. The Man - The Satanic Satanist though. |
SeaAnemone
10.20.09 | ^same
I'm a big fan of pop-punk group, Park, and although I don't see a huge connection, they get a bunch of MtB (always been one of my personal faves, one of the legit bands i listened to BEFORE Sputnik) comparisons. Based on your other ratings, you would fall in love with...
Park - It Won't Snow Where You're Going |
TerminalC
10.20.09 | Agreed, Portugal. The Man, though i prefer Waiter: "you vultures" instead. also try Tides of Man, Circa Survive, the Mars Volta |
Ricven
10.20.09 | Not many bands sound quite like MTB but here are some that have some MTB qualities to them:
Sharks Keep Moving
The Reign of Kindo
American Football
Ghosts & Vodka
This Town Needs Guns
Kaki King |

10.20.09 | Agree with Prophet on both of those cd's. They are both pretty excellent and The Satanic Satanist is super catchy. I picked up Planet of Ice at the same time as As Tall As Lions- You Can't Take It With You and enjoyed them both also. You might try listening to some samples of them. |

10.20.09 | Planet of Ice and You Can't Take It With You have always been connected in my mind somehow both because I got them on the same day and they kind of create the same atmosphere. In my mind it all makes total sense. |
