How Fucking Spoiled We Are

I've been thinking about how fucking dumb it is to actively dislike music and literally all of us (myself included) do it. Take a step back and think, does some peasant farmer in Cambodia hear one traditional folk song and prefer it over another? Do they think "haha what pleb shit that song is, have you even heard that one Burmese folk song? No? Well eat shit"? Probably not. More something like "hmm yes that is yet another sequence of notes. Okay now it's time to work 15 hours a day to pay off my debt to the local heroin kingpin so he doesn't MURDER MY FUCKING FAMILY". I honestly can't think of anything more first world than simply having a taste in music (or anything for that matter). Simply the act of recording music is so far ahead of the amoeba state that we started out as however-many years ago. It's a wonder why we look at albums that, regardless if we like the music or not, take so much advanced thinking to conceive and yet we're not blown away at the mere fact that it exists. If I had a nickel for every time I've dismissed such a marvel of human accomplishment as a "shit album" (or movie, or video game, or book), I'd probably go spend that money on 5 Guys and further delude myself that I AND ONLY I have the right opinion on things while I stuff cajun fries in my entitled face. We're jaded to the point in thinking that sequence of sound waves A is superior to sequence of sound waves B, based on nothing that actually matters, and boost are ego because of it. I do it as much as the next guy, and I'm not saying it's wrong to do, but it's just an observation. And a reminder that in the eyes of the cosmos, your music taste doesn't mean shit. That being said, here are 25 albums that are better than any your shit-stained philistine ears are listening to.
