01.10.10 | Aside from the generics......Feon is an absolutely must watch movie. Great acting from Val Kilmer and Stephen Dorff, a strong plot based on a guy (Dorff who gets sent to prison for killing a guy who broke into his house, and meets Kilmer. Must watch, otherwise you'd be retarded.
True Romance is also epic. |

01.10.10 | thebhoy, would you say Dr. Strangelove is Kubrick's best? I've yet to see it. |
rodigo1
01.10.10 | the highlight of that is definitely his reentrance
and jason schwartzman just lounging
so great |
thebhoy
01.10.10 | personally I think it's his best. It sometimes gets overlooked by 2001 and A Clockwork Orange. It's his only comedy, besides parts of Full Metal Jacket, which is probably his second best. I think it's his most well rounded picture, though if you're looking for something more visually interesting, try Barry Lyndon or 2001. Barry Lyndon is perhaps the best lighting in a film ever, it's gorgeous. |
Chewie
01.10.10 | Well Clockwork Orange is the most captivating movie I've ever seen, it's so brilliant, indescribable in how effective it is. 2001 and Full Metal Jacket are amazing as well, for their own reasons. Those are the only three I've seen of him, and have trying to track down Dr. Strangelove, all I've seen is an awesome trailer for it(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gXY3kuDvSU if you're interested.) |
Dreamsoffew
01.10.10 | More cliche now, but:
Lord Of War

01.10.10 | Defiance could've been so much better, but it just turned into a typical Hollywood movie. I watched Lion King with my gf last night, forgot how amazing it actually is.... seriously. French film has been seriously lacking in the past little while. Few really good films, though I'd check out Swimming Pool for something a little more erotic, or Tell No One, which pretty much takes the Fugitive and adds a post-rockish score and some beautiful cinematography. Also,
http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=264241
is my list of some movies I've been currently digging. Ps. Joss Whedon is awesome. |
