andcas 05.09.10	metallica are horrible. iron maiden, never a fan, but I'll give them they had some good songs in the 80's. rise against is the only band that puts out good albums every single time, they put on a hell of a show, they write deep and meaningful lyrics and music and unlike iron maiden and metallica they actually stand for something and have a message to deliver.

maidenpmcc 05.09.10	Yea Rise against are a very political band and a song of theirs - Hero of War, is an example of this. I love the band, like I said I seen them twice, met them twice and got stuff signed and pictures taken on both occasions. Just don't compare them to gods such as Iron Maiden and Metallica.

andcas 05.09.10	so your telling me they are too big to do organized meet and greets? Maybe they simple just don't care about their fans like bands like rise against and bands of that nature do. Rise against is all over the radio and mtv yet they find the time.
maidenpmcc 05.09.10	Thing is, bands like Rise Against can meet their fans all the time after gigs because there is only a crowd of people waiting. Where as Maiden and Metallica, there are literally thousands. Big difference there. It's not like Maiden and Metallica don't wana meet their fans on purpose.

maidenpmcc 05.11.10	I know, ofcourse I'm gonna go to more gigs. These are just the bands so far. The gigs are ever increasing. I'm going to see Metallica tomorrow night along with High on Fire, can't wait.
andcas 05.11.10	you should go to more underground shows. they are more intimate, cheaper, and just less annoying.
andcas 05.11.10	not huge arena shows. support and get into some bands that haven't gotten to big for their own good and truly need the support. it's fun to be able to go to a medium sized show and enjoy yourself on a normal sized stage with a band that still likes to get close to their fans.
maidenpmcc 05.11.10	Dryden, your forever dissagreeing with me. I live in Northern Ireland, not alot of small bands like bands in the underground scene come and play here. Even As I Lay Dying (a band I love) haven't even played here yet and they're not exactly underground. For your information, I do know what the term 'underground' means. I would go and see intimate gigs like Rise Against, Opeth and Mastodon. I missed Opeth and Mastodon the last time they played in Belfast because I wasn't into them at the time. I don't just go to arena gigs and I dont just see huge bands.
