High Expectations 2015
Releases I'm waiting for this year. What are you looking forward to?
Post-apocalyptic ambient folk fuzz rock. A friend's band who will be releasing their debut this year.
|9||Before the Snare|
Modern folk punk rock. My own band will be releasing our debut this month titled 'Strangers'.
Isn't it obvious why I'm excited.
|8||The Velvet Teen|
The word on their social media-sphere is that they'll be releasing an album very soon. I've Been
waiting for this group to come out of hiatus.
|7||Horse the Band|
They've been touring lately and I know a lot of us are waiting for a follow up to 2009's
'Desperate Living'. It's not likely of course, and there's no news or anything, I fall asleep every
|6||The Sound of Animals Fighting|
Another deceased band who have been resurfacing with a small tour. Again, with a huge album
to follow up, 2008's 'The Ocean and the Sun'. No news though, and the alt bands for TSOAF's
members, Circa Survive and Rx Bandits, have been busy lately and could be touring all year.
There's no rhyme or reason to how this guy releases music, no patterns that I can tell anyway,
but I'm sure he's cooking up something somewhere. Last thing I heard from him was a
collaboration called Sisyphus, hopefully he goes back to creating one of his own this year.
Plastic Beach was such a superb and cohesive sounding album, I'm eagerly awaiting a release
that lives up to those standards. Plastic Beach II, any takers?
It seems like the members of this band keep getting more and more busy with other projects.
Jonny Greenwood mentioned that Radiohead would be recording some time fall 2014. For all we
know he could have been referring to some variation of the group or alternate project. I'm very
curious what the group will do next, how their sound will evolve (if at all).
Thrice 2015 confirmed, nuff said. Well at least they'll be doing something in 2015. Could be just
an end to their hiatus, could be a tour, could even be an album. Fml if its just to build hype for a
re-release or special collection release.
This one could be another few years in the making. Tool seems to be the only band who can
tease their fans this hard and still have everyone clamoring to suck their weens for new music.
There's been word from them about releasing new music, apparently it's been delayed due to
lawsuits and such. Could be procrastination or leaking information too far in advance.
Who knows, are my hopes set too high? 2015 could be a stellar year for music. Thanks for
reading folks, leave some comments about your own high hopes for 2015.
Very excited for the new Gorillaz LP aswell. Doubt it'll be better than Demon Days though
Radiohead is the big one, I'm not expecting new Tool until at least 2016.
Faith No More should be on this list. But yeah Radiohead's new album will rule either way.
there was a release after Plastic Beach, but really who knows. Does anyone have some info on the Gorillaz?
It's up in the air right now
is there a release calendar for 2015? Sput should make one if we haven't already.
I suspect it'll be another year for Radiohead as well.
so stoked for radiohead
kristian matsson i guess
Blind Guardian, Steven Wilson, Kamelot.
My high expectations for 2015 is that I will suck less than in 2014. Musically, I am not too sure yet.
A lot of the ones on this list are big maybe's, and I doubt there will be anything from tool or gorillaz next year but one can only hope.
when its true that neurosis will release a record 2015 im stoked as fuck
someone hold me tbh
the first three, and thrice and probably the only ones that will happen unfortunately
|New Ashtee album?
New Metallica album?
2 and 1 are trash but 3 and 5 are excellent
*classic trash 5/5
HORSE better fucking release something next year
I can't wait to not give a shit about the new tool album
but I disagree.
I agree, Fish. That ship sailed for me many moons ago.
If every HORSE fan bought their new album twice, Lord Gold wouldn't have to live so desperately.
i'm eagerly anticipating Taken 3, tbh
I agree with tool, they never dissapointed me
