Aids 05.03.11	god damn it, some of the conflicts are brutal. The Antlers vs. The Thermals vs. Iron and Wine on Saturday, Flying Lotus vs. The Flaming Lips on Sunday (fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck) Bonobo vs. Rodrigo y Gabriela and The Decemberists vs. Skrillex (Decemberists obviously) on Monday. It could be worse I guess but fuuuuuuuuuck

Aids 05.03.11	I can catch some of Gold Panda's set but not Flying Lotus. I was really excited to see Gold Panda and Flying Lotus each play full sets, but there is no way I'm missing a second of The Flaming Lips.

Aids 05.03.11	yeah this is horseshit, I've been looking forward to this game allllll weekend, I sit down and crack a beer at my parents house and my mum starts reeming me out for a whole bunch of horseshit. I missed Kesler's first goal of the post-season because I was in another room trying to cool off and shit hit play on the PVR. Dumb fucking cunt, I'm so mad right now. And I also have to miss Flying Lotus and probably some of Iron and Wine at Sasquatch FUCK

aokuneff 05.03.11	wow bonobo v rodrigo y gabriela and flylo v flaming lips (!) is tough shit. flaming lips and flylo would be my 1 and 2 from this entire list and bonobo + rodrigo y gabriela would be top 10 also... flogging molly is fun and local natives put on a great show btw. would recommend both definitely, esp local natives. should be good times -- looking forward to some post sasquatch lists from you and aids =)
mothercountry 05.04.11	WTF! Flylo against the flaming lips, ugh. Is there really any choice? I can't miss the Soft bulletin. Deerhunter interferes slightly with wilco's set, not digging.

aokuneff 05.04.11	isn't that what i said? and i'd agree with that decision -- as much as i respect rodrigo y gabriela (they've done some great stuff), bonobo absolutely fascinates me
Aids 05.04.11	Deerhunter and Wilco are both bands that I like but am not crazy about. It might be Wilco's last show ever though (or something) so I'll probably check them out. I can still get like 30 mins of Deerhunter in I think. Andy - yeah I misread. there's only two conflicts I'm worried about but they're MASSIVE. a) The Anterls vs The Thermals vs Iron and Wine, b) The Flaming Lips vs the second half of Gold Panda's set and all of Flylo. I'll also miss a little bit of the Trailer Park Boys' set haha but that's aight.

Aids 05.04.11	well I will get all of The Antlers' set then have 40 ish minutes to play around with for either Iron and Wine or The Thermals, so it's not all bad. I can catch all 3 is I want to shaft The Thermals to under 30 minutes. ....which I don't. you know what? fuck you Iron and Wine I don't care. The Thermals ruelz
Aids 05.04.11	I also kind of wanted to see Washed Out (who is the other band playing in that general time slot) but I'll probably only end up seeing the last 15 minutes of his set. I wish they would let me make the schedule so I could just line up all the bands I want to see and make the conflicts with bands I don't give a shit about. That would be baws
Satellite 05.04.11	i'm seething with jealousy at this festival but i'm going to THE fest this year so i'll probably be able to stave off suicide
aokuneff 05.04.11	yea, i checked out the times. hopefully as soon as the lips end you can run and catch a couple flylo spins, but i wouldn't miss a second of the lips man -- they really know how to put on a show. i'd even say you should try to catch the very beginning of rodrigo y gabriela before heading to bonobo since it looks like it's starting a half hour later oddly enough i don't know the thermals or the antlers and don't even care for iron and wine as much as most people so that wouldn't be an issue for me. sucks that gayngs always picks the worst time slots. at coachella they went up against boys noize, chemical brothers and flogging molly and here they're up against flying lotus, gold panda and the flaming lips. i mean, they're a very solid indie band that i would like to have seen and would like to recommend to you but against these acts, not so much...
Aids 05.04.11	another thing is that I really want to be up front for The Flaming Lips (in case they break out the hamster ball) but that means getting there earlier and missing more Gold Panda. God DAMN it. and yeah, that's what I plan on doing is seeing a bit of Rodrigo y Gabriela then hitting up Bonobo's set.
aokuneff 05.04.11	if you wanna be up front for the flaming lips you are not going to see more than a song or 2 by gold panda. and that's a bit generous too cause everyone's gonna wanna see the flaming lips
Aids 05.04.11	come to think of it, maybe I'll just relax and accept the fact that I won't be up close. They have the sunset time slot and seeing their show with the beautiful backdrop will be incredible (like Vampire Weekend and The National last year). and this way I can get like 35-40 minutes of Gold Panda.
