| Faux-happy
I love the effect of a song that's supposed to be happy or has a happy sound, or at least is not sad, when you're in a situation that completely sucks and the song somehow draws attention to the situation and how much reality sucks. Like when "Forever Young" is playing during the dance in Napoleon Dynamite and his date has ditched him and he says "She probably just went to the bathroom." Anbody know what I mean? List is examples. Tell me any others you know of. | | 1 | Alphaville Forever Young | | 2 | Cher Just Like Jesse James | | 3 | Cyndi Lauper Time After Time | | 4 | David Bowie Life On Mars? | | 5 | Bryan Adams Heaven | | 6 | Scorpions Wind of Change | | 7 | Yeah Yeah Yeahs Soft Shock (preferably acoustic) | |
