kangaroopoo 09.22.10	Old movies for me can feel dated and boring but most of his films just draw you in with the suspense and intrigue. Plots are so clever.

ButcheredChildren 09.22.10	I remember studying hitchcock in film studies, but on another note... M. Night Shamaylan (however you spell his name) is such a disappointment these days. Unbreakable, Signs and the Sixth Sense were brilliant but Village, Lady in the Water, the Happening & the recent Devil is all garbage, wtf happened to that guy

Deviant. 10.08.10	Could do with Strangers On A Train, but great list. And i'm happy that North By Northwest isn't at the top spot here (unless this list isn't ranked). Its a great film and all, but a tad overrated
kangaroopoo 10.08.10	Yeah Strangers another great. It is ranked and agree I was a bit disappointed with Northwest the first time I saw it after all the fanfare around it. Have to see it again and see if it's top 10 worthy.
Deviant. 10.08.10	I think, for me, its lost a bit of its spark because its been so widely parodied. The fight on Mt Rushmore and the plan chasing the guy in the fields have become staples of pop culture sadly

kangaroopoo 10.08.10	Unfortunately some films can lose their edge after being parodied. Silence of the Lambs is one of my all time faves but over overexposure, widespread referencing and ending up in spoof movies has tarnished it.
foreverendeared 10.08.10	Yeah I see your point, I ignore those things for the most part though. All the parodies of Silence of the Lambs hasn't affected my love for that movie.

kangaroopoo 10.08.10	Pyscho really affected me when I first saw it. That's just stuck with me. Very creepy, particularly for its time. I'd still probably rank Silence no.1, but the liver/fava beans/chianti scene got butchered so many times. As long as I really settle in to watch it from the get go, the movie will consume me.
