Top 25 Of 2000+10

Finally settled down on a top 25, the top ten are in order and the rest are only slightly order.
25S. Carey
All We Grow

Relaxing and pretty.
24Letlive
Fake History

A bit too all over the place for my liking, but still a decent post-hardcore cd, which i couldn't find alot of this year.
23Parades
Foreign Tapes

Past Lives is such a great song that this had to go on my list; everything else is pretty good to.
22Alcest
Ecailles De Lune

In a genre that i usually dont enjoy this cd managed to captivate me.
21How to Dress Well
Love Remains

It's like Bon Iver + electronics. Thats fucking awesome
20The Knife
Tomorrow, In a Year
19Destroyer
Archer on the Beach

It may be short, but its still one of my favorites of the year.
18Surfer Blood
Astro Coast

Super happy, chill music to drive around to. Did i mention how happy it is?
17House of Heroes
Suburba

Catchy, fun summer music from a band that never disappoints.
16The Gaslight Anthem
American Slang

Solid follow up to one of my favorite cds, once i got over it not being The 59 Sound I started to enjoy it alot.
15Circa Survive
Blue Sky Noise

They finally made a cd that doesnt put me to sleep!
14The Felix Culpa
Sever Your Roots

I don't care how much it sounds like Brand New, As Cities Burn, or MewithoutYou. Those are some of my favorite bands and i needed a dose of their brand of music this year.
13Fang Island
Fang Island

JOY JOY JOY
12 Dangers
Messy, Isn't It?

RAGE RAGE RAGE
11The Republic of Wolves
Varuna

Really atmospheric, reminds of The Devil and God, and has one of my favorite songs of the year (Oarsman).
10Deerhunter
Halcyon Digest

Finally clicked for me the other day, and since then its all i have been listening to when relaxing.
9 United Nations
Nevermind the Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures

One of the only screamo/skramz cds that really stuck with in a year dominated by indie stuff.
8The Tallest Man on Earth
The Wild Hunt

Its so damn pretty....
7Anberlin
Dark is the Way, Light is a Place

Sounded like a combination of the best parts of their last two cds, and after an amazing live performance this got a place in my top ten.
6Touche Amore/La Dispute
Searching for a Pulse/The Worth of the World

One of my favorite bands (La Dispute) and another that i highly enjoy making a fast, fun and awesome split.
5Underoath
Disambiguation

A band that a couple years ago i passed off at a metal festival as a "whiny screaming emo band". Now they've released one of my favorite metal albums of the year, and im still kicking myself for missing them twice.
4Foals
Total Life Forever

As a fan of their debut i was not expecting this cd. It fits a perfect mood and spanish sahara is one of the best songs of the year
3Titus Andronicus
The Monitor

Only got into this in the last two weeks after dismissing it when it came out, realized my mistake and fell in love.
2Motion City Soundtrack
My Dinosaur Life

Plain fun music done very well. Even though its less serious than pretty much anything else on this list it was the soundtrack to my summer, giving it such a high spot on this list
1The National
High Violet

Easily my favorite, really grew on me through the year. Every song is amazing, and yet another near perfect cd from my favorite band.
