| Heavy Recommendations, Please?
Anything heavy will be greatly appreciated. | 1 | | Disillusion Back To Times Of Splendor
I jizzed my pants when I listened to this album. | 2 | | Amorphis Tales From The Thousand Lakes
Excellent album as well. | 3 | | Converge Jane Doe
It's been 6 years since the first time I listened to Converge and to Jane Doe, and it still amazes me just like the first day. | 4 | | City Of Ships Look What God Did To Us
This one was actually a recommendation from a sputnikmusic user, and I must say, it's really effing good, definitely feels like a post-metal version of Thrice. | 5 | | Rosetta The Galilean Satellites
This is probably the best post-metal album I've heard in my entire life. | 6 | | The Ocean Precambrian
I listened to this album for the first time on a Sunday, 8 AM, washing the dishes, hah, and it totally blew me away. | 7 | | Rotting Christ Sanctus Diavolos
I've always liked Rotting Christ, and this album is no exception. | 8 | | Sikth Death Of A Dead Day
Between The Buried And Me 10x, This is my favourite 2007 album. | 9 | | Cynic Traced In Air
My favourite 2008 album, beautifully executed, great lyrics and vocals as well, and the drumming is insane, I love everything about Cynic. | 10 | | Darkthrone A Blaze In The Northern Sky
The best release from Darkthrone, quality black metal all the way.
It's a shame they sound like sh*t now. | |

As for bands I already know...none so vile is a masterpiece, everything coalesce does is golden, moonsorrow are excellent (although I had a hard time trying to get into them), I'm not much of a Daath fan, pig destroyer are awesome!, strapping young lad owns, I totally love devin townsend, opeth are amazing as well, united nations are not THAT good, but hey, palumbo is a great vocalist along with geoff rickly, burzum is great but I didn't like his last albums quite much, and I love meshuggah. |
