06.21.09 | you may be right about old portishead being better, but i liked the way they reinvented their sound. they also sound a bit darker. its a shame a lot of people were dissapointed by "third" |

06.22.09 | thanks! i tried to include as much variety as possible in terms of genre, new/old bands, highly acclaimed/overlooked etc. some of these had commercial success, others deserved to have more! i realise 1/3 of this list is metal but that's because i grew up listening to it and 2008 had some great metal albums! |
