Albums I Want But Don't Have The Money For
These albums are on the top of my list to buy, once I find the cash of course. They are in no particular order. There are more, but I figured 10 was a reasonable number. | | 1 | | Blue October Foiled
A damn fine album and a damn fine band. I have never heard a bad song from these guys and I hope I never do. | | 2 | | Blue October Approaching Normal
I've only heard one song off this (Dirt Room) so I'm curious to see if Blue October have topped Foiled, equalled it, or flopped. | | 3 | | Yann Tiersen Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain
My sister introduced me to Yann Tiersena few years ago and ever since then I have searched fruitlessly through a frankly stupid amount of boxes trying to find her copy of this amazing album. I think its time to finally bite the bullet though and order another one in. | | 4 | | Blink 182 Blink 182 Greatest Hits
I'm not a terribly huge fan of Blink 182, not because I don't want to be, but because I have simply never bothered to put together a proper collection of their music. I figure buying this would probably be the easiest way to remedy that. | | 5 | | Regina Spektor Far
One of the few pop musicians I like. Regina Spektor is, IMO, bloody brilliant, and since I can't decide which album to buy I've put this one down because apparently it has a little bit of all her styles in it. | | 6 | | Devildriver Pray For Villains
Devildriver at their best. I've heard a few songs from this and I am really excited to see what else this album holds. | | 7 | | Powderfinger Odyssey Number Five
I love Powderfinger, I think they are one of the greatest Australian rock acts of the past two decades (Its a narrow fight between them and Silverchair). That being said, I only own one of their albums, the ultimately dissapointing Dream Days At The Hotel Existence. I am looking to expand my collection and this album has been sitting, forgotten, at the back of my local music store. If I had the money I would give it a home instantly. | | 8 | | Jet Shaka Rock
All right, I admit this isn't out yet (it comes out in late August if I remember correctly) but I still want it, and I know that when it comes out in a month's time what little money I have will not be enough to purchase this as well as everything else on this list. And there are higher priorities than this one. | | 9 | | Rob Thomas Cradlesong
One of the finest pop/rock singer/songwriters of our time. I am curious to see how well Rob pulls away from Matchbox 20. | | 10 | | Matchbox Twenty Yourself Or Someone Like You
Its a tie between this and More Than You Think You Are. Fantastic albums in their own way, but I just can't decide between them. | |

07.23.09 | dude 7 is so far beyond dream days it aint funny. in fact it's really sad. also get internationalist, vulture street and double allergic
10 is a great rock record and 6 is making my trips to and from work enjoyable at the moment | Zip
07.23.09 | 6 is excellent. | eclectic
07.23.09 | zipp3rmouth: its just a terrible shame all I have is the title track. Though I may get it off one of mates, he has much smaller wish list than mine and may be able to afford it.
bahamut: I can't afford to do that, this wish list is long enough as it is. | strikey
07.28.09 | 2 is very good indeed, although i don't have the whole of foiled. | eclectic
07.29.09 | Hmm, its a shame that my local music store has pretty poor tastes, a lot of the albums here I would have to order in. | gaslightanthem
07.29.09 | get blink-182's self titled rather than their greatest hits | eclectic
07.31.09 | hmm, I think I'll stick to the greatest hits because it has some of their best songs that aren't on their self titled (Adam's Song, What's My Age Again) |
