03.24.11 | Portnoy is great but I can't stand the DT vocalist. |
dixoncocks
03.24.11 | Ricky Mazzotta and Jason McGerr are my modern favorites. |
TheSpirit
03.24.11 | I would still say Joey Jordinson is a fantastic drummer. Think what you will about Slipknot but he is legitimately talented and it's pretty undeniable. The drummer from Black Stone Cherry is also pretty impressive and even though that band isn't one of my favorites his style is pretty awesome. I would have to say one of my favorite modern drummers though is Mike from Fell Voices and Sleepwalker, his beats and patterns are always really interesting/ |
AdamKPeter
03.24.11 | I don't now how modern you want modern to be, but Brann Dailor is awesome at drums. Great list though. |
ShinXetsu
03.24.11 | Chris Pennie deserves a mention, his playing is always fucking air tight. |
RooseveltsGhost
03.24.11 | Gavin Harrison and Danny Carrey are quite easily the best drummers to ever contribute to rock music. |
Acrosstheshield13
09.01.11 | Brann Dailor, Blake Richardson, Charlie Benante. |
Wolfhorde
09.01.11 | Why is there always incredibly dumb fanboyism with this "fav drummer/guitarist/whatever"-thing? |
IAmKickass
09.01.11 | Matt Greiner from August Burns Red can work his set. |
