04.21.17 | The only Bad Religion album I have is their latest one, and I'm not a big fan. I hear their earlier stuff is much better. What album would be a great starting point for somebody who hasn't heard much Bad Religion? |
Satellite
04.21.17 | i'd go with All Ages. it's a greatest hits comp of their first stint on epitaph (what most consider to be their golden era). that's what got me into them. but you also can't go wrong starting with suffer and going forward from there. |
WatchItExplode
04.21.17 | this would be rediculously difficult with the incredible body of work they have so props
Blenderhead, Struck A Nerve, To Another Abyss, and Inner Logic would all be in my top ten but basically everything on your list rules |

04.21.17 | Suffer and Mordern Man not in the top ten is just wrong |

bummed about brooks and hetson leaving, though. that's quite a loss of talent. |

04.21.17 | Love seeing #13 in your top 20, such an underrated song. Also, where the hell did #24 come from? Bonus edition? Different country release? I don't have that song on my copy lol. |

04.21.17 | it was on the japanese release. why it's not on the actual album is beyond me because that song kills. |

04.21.17 | i think that was re: my list's deion, making him probably the only person to read it.
i used to get in trouble at school a lot when i was like 13. my parents (despite being godless heathens themselves) for some reason thought sending me (and my younger brothers) to church would make me be less of a delinquent. so we went to this class that met every week called "church 101" that was basically a prerequisite to being baptized. we finished the course and got baptized my parents bought us all snowboards as a reward. snowboarding led directly to me discovering the majesty of cannabis and i haven't been back to church since. suck it, god. |

04.21.17 | that logic is kind of funny. i was forced to go to church almost every sunday until i was in 8th or 9th grade. i was still a little shit. |
Satellite
04.21.17 | when i was younger (like 8-9) my parents used to use going to church as a potential punishment. fortunately they hated it almost as much as i do so they rarely followed through on the threat. there are few things more awkward imo than attending church service. |

04.21.17 | "pretty sure masochist already made this list but oh well"
I mean prolly, but not in at least four years so it doesn't count anymore.
Anyways, any ranking of Bad Religion is a good one for me, but man it makes me so damn happy to see "The Defense" and "Boot Stamping..." in the Top 20. So, so underrated, both of them.
I've seen Bad Religion twice. The second time, my friend asked me what song I most wanted to hear, and I said "Modern Man" because I was not going to hope against hope that they'd play "Skyscraper." They played both. One of the best shows ever...though maybe I'm biased (and this was before Hetson and Brooks left).
Have you ever heard "Who We Are?" That's a hard to find one, because it's actually only ever been released (to my knowledge) on Punk-O-Rama 8. That's one of my favorite songs of theirs, as well...prolly top 10.
Thanks for making this list. |

04.21.17 | My mother's family were fairly strict Catholics. I had was forced to attend some sort children's bible school around age five. My mom told me I came home and said "it was fine until they started all that God stuff". I decided all the cookies and punch they bribed us with were simply not worth it. Thus began and ended my relationship with organized religion and cemented my identity as a heathen and hedonist. |

04.21.17 | "Lemme take you to a Black church. Bet I can get you to go back, too."
hahaha you're probably right dude. nearly all my black friends are christians and fun as hell to hang out with. white ppl in large numbers suck the fun out of everything.
like if i'm at a bbq not being hosted by black ppl i know i need to come up with an escape plan asap. white ppl shouldn't even be allowed to call their outdoor parties bbq's. |
Satellite
04.21.17 | "Have you ever heard 'Who We Are?' That's a hard to find one, because it's actually only ever been released (to my knowledge) on Punk-O-Rama 8."
yeah that's on the only 2-disc punk-o-rama, opposite "shattered faith." both great songs.
epitaph really should bring those comps back. i even liked when they started branching out to non-punk bands in the later years. |
Joeman82
04.22.17 | Not enough from Stranger Than Fiction (super underrated imo), but a very solid list. Great top 10, any top 10 with Best For You and no Billy gets an A in my book. |

04.22.17 | better off dead and incomplete just missed the cut. stf is by no means a bad album, but it just screams "major label meddling" to me. i prefer the gray race over their other atlantic releases. |
