No you idiots, this isn't a "Best Of" list, it's too early for that. I should be reading William Shakespeare's "A Winter's Tale" but instead I am here rec'ing you under-appreciated 2010 albums. I make a lot of these lists, but seriously, check these out or you're an asshole.
1Rob Swift
The Architect

This could be my AOTY. Exceptional DJ Rob Swift cuts-up classic music masterpieces and layers them with superb scratching, beats, and samples. Also features two rapped songs from Breez Evahflowin. Seriously, you NEED this.
2Electric President
The Violent Blue

Two guys makin music mane. Think Postal Service meets shoegaze meets doom metal (not kidding listen to the last track).
3Liquorwoks
Nonsense

Instrumental metal that doesn't suck.
4Steel Train
Steel Train

Led by Jack Antonoff (1/3 of fun.) this release is chock-full of happy (rock) melodies, catchy-as-hell choruses, and fantastic vocal leads/harmonies.
5Concert Silence
Rain Furniture

Collaboration between Matthew Cooper (ELUVIUM) and Charles Buckingham produces ambient goodness. The LP released this year is alright, but this is really good stuff.

Maybe the best dm of the year. Sludgy, dirty production with a little flair from the tamburica. What is that instrument you ask? Listen to the album and you'll find out.

Chillwave with female vocals that teases you with melodies and makes the heart soar.

The Great White Emptieness

HAVE to have some shoegaze-influenced bm on here.
