25 Amazing Moments In Music

These are 25 of my favorite moments in music. Some of them are from this year, some are not. Only one song per band, except for one band, because they should be listened to. Obviously, the bands have other amazing moments, but these came to mind. These moments are particularly awesome to me, whether it be the music, lyrics, vocalist, or a combination. Enjoy, and let me know what you think.
1Converge
Dark Horse

1:57-2:23 DARK HORSE RIDE!! TOWARDS THE LIGHT!!
2Between The Buried And Me
Mordecai

3:34-end. This might be my favorite moment in all of music. "From the reciting of the show to the plip and the shevanel"
3Exotic Animal Petting Zoo
Every Waking Moment

:32-1:32 Bass riff SLAYS
4He is Legend
Everyone I Know Has Fangs

2:48-end. "Everybody, everybody I know's got FANGS" One of the more fantastic moments on this album. Also, some resemblance of a scream at the end from Croom.
5Fightstar
War Machine

4:00-4:12 The choir epically sings over guitar and strings.
6Dark Tranquillity
Nothing To No One

0:00-:30 Intro. You know what I'm talking about.
7Insomnium
The Day It All Came Down

4:39-end Niilo growls "So be it, perdition is my home" and the double bass kicks in with the guitar leading over it all. Beautiful.
8House Of Heroes
In The Valley Of The Dying Sun

3:58-4:08 "Like pieces of the sun, our light shines on and on and on!!"
9Augery
Aetheral

3:14-3:28 Six string bass solo. Domination.
10In Vain
In The Midnight Hour

4:41-6:59 The song gets quiet, goes back to heavy riffs, epic trumpets blare, and it all ends with a guitar solo.
11Thrice
At the Last

1:44-2:24 Amazing lyrics here. Dustin reflecting on his life. "I'm a good man. I'm a good man. Am I a good man?"
12Manchester Orchestra
Pride

2:34-3:05 Andy Hull sounds pissed. MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
13August Burns Red
Thirty and Seven

2:45-2:53 Awesome breakdown. I love how the music stops just for a second, and then it hits.
14Demon Hunter
Lead Us Home

3:50-4:09 Amazing harmonies singing the last refrain.
15Glass Casket
In Between The Sheets

2:35-4:12 I'm a sucker for soft parts transitioning to melodic singing in the middle of a death metal song. Ex. See 2.
16Never See Tomorrow
Hope is Only Skin Deep

3:40-end. Crushing breakdown to end the song. Vocalist gets crazy deep. I'd love to see this live.
17Hold Your Tongue

0:00-:36 Intro. These guys are a metalcore band from Down Under. They're generic at times, but have moments of glory and a great vocalist imo. Check 'em out.
18Coldplay
Death and All Of His Friends

2:44-3:08 "No I don't wanna battle from beginning to end. I don't wanna cycle/recycle revenge. I don't wanna follow Death and all of his friends." I almost cry every time.
19fun.
The Gambler

2:40-3:00 "You swore you'd be here til we decide that it's our time, but it's not time, you never quit in all your life. So just take my hand, you know that I will never leave your side." I love the emotion in Reuss' voice, and these lyrics...golden.
20Regina Spektor
Human Of The Year

2:17-3:11 I love the build-up and Regina shows off her beautiful voice.
21Life in Your Way
Worthwile

2:18-2:46 "And I will labor at your door, but I will labor not in vain. Hope has the answers" Perfect lyrics, and the screaming over the singing is soo inspiring. Gives me goosebumps every time.
22Horse Feathers
Honest Doubters

1:51-end. Beautiful. The cello plays so hopelessly. Heart-wrenching.
23Haste the Day
American Love

2:19-end. From where it gets quiet and they sing the round with some gorgeous harmonies. Then, back to a great breakdown with Jimmy screaming as no one else screams "Forgive me for running so quickly to the outside!"
24The Number Twelve Looks Like You
To Catch A Tiger

3:17-3:22 The music stops briefly and then Jase comes in with bone-shattering lows.
25Maybeshewill
Co-Conspirators

2:46-3:12 After a build up, the recorded voice ends and the guitar leads over pounding piano and drums. Freaking incredible.
