robertsona 10.19.10	i think the reason i like that song so much is that its beginning is so appealing to me and so far removed from my image of "country music" that the second, more recognizably "country" part is easier to swallow. all of it's awesome though.

Emim 10.20.10	Um, my mom was big into Country (though I hated it), but I like some Toby Keith, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood (hell yeah), and of course Johnny Cash. Southern rock >>>> Country There wasn't really an album that got me into rap. I mostly just listened to the radio crap. P.O.S. - Never Better was my first serious venture into rap. As for metal, I had a bit of Nu-Metal, but the main album was August Burns Red - Messengers.

I agree that country only has few selective good artists, like Cash, Prine and Townes Van Zandt not listening to alot of rap but I really enjoy the classics and most of the alternative hip hop stuff dont listen to any extreme metal (lolbm); I'm usually looking for more experimental stuff

Old school country from Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Hank Williams Sr. is some of the most real, honest music that you will ever hear in your life. Trust me, put back a bottle of whiskey and put on an old record by one of these guys, you will be changed. Hip hop is the shit, today's rap music isn't what rap used to be about.
