Elementary (Ancient) Greek I
6 Feet Beneath the Moon
Art Humanities--a survey art history course required of all students, but hard to get
into for freshmen. I think they only give it to freshmen who indicate art history as an
interest or potential major on their app. Otherwise people scramble to take it junior or
senior year, so I'm pretty happy.
Uptown Saturday Night
Literature Humanities--Literature survey course required for everyone, but this one's
for freshmen. We'll see. This is the only class that had a summer requirement: the
first 12 books of the Iliad, which I thought were pretty okay.

University Writing--One of the two semester-long (Literature Humanities is two
semesters) courses required of all freshmen; the other semester I'll be taking
Frontiers of Science, a supposedly completely b.s. science class.
So Far Gone
Oh also basketball to fulfill my PE requirement, but that's almost certainly full. Wah.
Because I Love It

poomp. thought I had #9
It's badass man.
The first couple of days suck but once you meet people and get comfortable it's really great.
What beefshoes said. Take your studying seriously, put yourself out there, and make a few mistakes.
as cliche as it sounds, college is definitely what you make of it. professors will probably give you every assignment on the first or second day of class, seriously. you don't technically have to do them now, they will say, and you don't technically have homework they'll also say. though the people who succeed will do them in a timely manner and those who don't succeed will party every night, succumb to "college shock", and do all of their assignments in december and probably fail.thereby moving back with their parents and applying to the nearest junior college; i've seen it a million times. do the work now, and party very hard over the shit ton, and i mean shit ton of time off, you will have throughout the year- as christmas break and the like are all longer in college. long story short work hard and you will earn the right to party hard(if you don't party then idk do whatever you do in your free time). college is easy imo if you do the fucking work and don't be a little bitch by not admitting it when you need help and asking your professors for assistance at their office hours!!
Say you need some extra cash to pay for college with
And it just so happens I got a lot of it
Spin around the pole while you're doing splits
By the end of the night might earn you a scholarship
brick did you end up passing math, you shoulda sent me your hw yo, im getting my degree in math next year foool
I passed but Im going to retake it because I want a better grade XD
fuck that i hate math sometimes lol but it's like what im best at yo and it's going to be my career shittt
y do something you hate lol
hate is a strong word-my bad. math for me is like a beautiful slut i have nothing in common with, it's annoying as fuck but so easy that i just put up with it. i like all subjects but don't get the ecstasy out of writing a paper or studying history that i do after solving a problem or describing an economic model (im a math/econ major).
college can either be the eeriest liability or fascinating profit fountain of wishes there ever is, choose well i wish you the best robert ##xoxo## kk
the worst thing you can have in college is a penis, girls can ruin a semester(s). helpful tip, try to avoid relationships your freshman year
i agree with Reich: if you want to do well, bust your ass and establish solid relationships with professors in your field of study. and most importantly, study what you want to study, and not be motivated by extrinsic pressures.
i'm starting my master's on Monday at the same school I did my bachelor's at, so I don't have to worry about moving to a new place, which for me was the worst part of college. I was mega depressed/homesick the first few months of college, but I strongly recommend socializing with people you normally wouldn't to kind of branch out, so to speak. it's simple, but it helps
what uni are you going too, btw?
Your schedule sounds easy as fuck
And FourthReich has it exactly right with his first comment
i'm going to columbia (in NYC, not chicago)! my schedule does sound ok except i think ancient greek is supposed to be pretty hard as languages go. they tell you only to take four classes your first semester which might be the reason, as well as that i got preregistered for three rather than the usual four core classes
