Picture This, If You Will
I had a dream last night. I was watching a TV; Richard Simmons was at a podium in front of a huge crowd, singing "Bled To Be Free" by the RX Bandits, but he had the voice of Frank Sinatra.
That's all I remember.
What the hell.
Albums that I have been listening to lately: |
1 | | RX Bandits Mandala
This will most likely end up as my album of the year. So good. |
2 | | The RX Bandits The Resignation
Mandala was my intro to the Bandits, so I've been checking out their back catalog. Some excellent stuff. |
3 | | The RX Bandits ...And The Battle Begun |
4 | | Marnie Stern This Is It...
Crippled Jazzer FTW |
5 | | Apotheke Session #1
This is a improv/jam band made up of members of the RX Bandits and features Zach Hill on a few tracks...What more do you need to know? |
6 | | Portugal. The Man The Majestic Majesty
Way better than The Satanic Satanist |
7 | | Bygones By-
Just about anything Zach Hill does is amazing. |
8 | | The Fall of Troy The Fall of Troy
Ah memories...been listening to this in anticipation of In The Unlikely Event.
Reminds me of driving through the canyon late at night with my friends in high school. |
9 | | Jaga Jazzist What We Must
This album can make me so happy and yet so sad at the same time.
I'm excited to hear their next effort. |
10 | | Closure In Moscow First Temple
After a few months, I listened to this again and have decided it's not as bad as I first thought. Even though I can't dig the vocals most of the time, the instrumentals are solid. |
