i just recently got a chance to see Converge in Brisbane on the 20th of March. I flew down from redneck country (payed a bit of money) and holy shit, after waiting two years, i wasn't let down at all. Got chucked the mic a couple of times (No heroes I walk alone bit and Hope Street outro) and met Jacob after the show (pretty rad dude, he met every single one of us). It was intense. these guys truly put heart into their shows. oh, and they encored with Jane Doe. OH and Genghis Tron were pretty killer too. hope you guys get a chance to see em before they eventually have heart attacks from being so rad. | | 1 | Converge

03.27.10 | they asked the crowd want they wanted to hear. they played the last riff of Jane Doe for like 5 extra minutes. pretty sure Jacob was emotionally fucked afterward. it was incredibly intense. only 500 people at the show in a 1200 capacity room. but yeah, The Saddest Day would have been me punching myself in the face due to even more sheer awesomeness.
oh and Genghis did a Big Black cover, didn't catch what song but it was rad. Mostly board up the house stuff too. |
