Russ Just Couldn't Save It.
by some divine right, the last 4 movies i watched were all superbly awesome and may very well
make it to some of my favorite films ever, and this would have been a nice solid 5 last awesome
movies i saw, IF i hadn't gone to see Robin Hood today. rest is digs. |
| 1 | | The Replacements Let It Be
Magnolia: WOAH. literally just finished watching this one. Paul Anderson never ceases to amaze me and
now i've finally seen all of his films. this movie figuratively anally rapped my brain. thats a good thing.
Ensemble cast was superb. |
| 2 | | People Under The Stairs Carried Away
High Fidelity: John Cusack made this one. better than pretty much all other relationship comedies i have
come across. plus, we can all relate to the musical snob-y-ness of the characters. and by we i mean all of
you. :] |
| 3 | | Down NOLA
Pontypool: a nice and tense low budget thriller from Canada. zombies... sort of.. and some really good sort
of twists. extremely unique and original. |
| 4 | | Cancer To The Gory End
Shutter Island: had to see this one 3 times at the discount theater. saw/realized different things every
time. SUCH A MIND FUCK. I LOVE Scorsese and i'm usually impressed with DiCaprio. This might be my
favorite from both of them. SEE THIS MOVIE IF YOU ENJOY FILM AT ALL |
| 5 | | Master Master
Robin Hood: The acting in this was really excellent all around. Russel Crow delivered like he has in his
better roles of the past. but i didn't even know what the hell was going on for more than half the damn
movie. plot was ridiculously lost. wait for the rental. i guess you can only see so many awesome movies in
a row. it wasn't mean to be. |
